DescriptionNVD

Vulnerability in the Oracle Coherence product of Oracle Fusion Middleware (component: Core). Supported versions that are affected are 12.2.1.4.0, 14.1.1.0.0, 14.1.2.0.0 and 15.1.1.0.0. Easily exploitable vulnerability allows low privileged attacker with network access via HTTP to compromise Oracle Coherence. Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized ability to cause a partial denial of service (partial DOS) of Oracle Coherence. CVSS 3.1 Base Score 4.3 (Availability impacts). CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:L).

AnalysisAI

A partial denial-of-service flaw in the Core component of Oracle Coherence lets a low-privileged, network-positioned attacker degrade availability of the distributed data grid by sending crafted HTTP requests. Versions 12.2.1.4.0, 14.1.1.0.0, 14.1.2.0.0 and 15.1.1.0.0 of the Oracle Fusion Middleware product are listed as affected by Oracle and mirrored by EUVD (EUVD-2026-79717). …

Vulnerability AssessmentAI

Exploitation Exploitation requires two concrete preconditions: network reachability to an HTTP-exposed Oracle Coherence Core service (per AV:N, and the advisory's explicit 'network access via HTTP' wording), and a valid low-privileged account on that service (per PR:L). … Additional conditions and limiting factors are described in the full assessment.
Risk Assessment The CVSS 3.1 vector (AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:L) describes a remotely reachable, low-complexity, no-user-interaction flaw, but the precondition of a low-privileged account (PR:L) and the availability-only partial impact cap the practical severity at moderate. … Full risk analysis with EPSS, KEV, and SSVC signal comparison available after sign-in.
Exploit Scenario Full exploit scenario with step-by-step reproduction available after sign-in.
Remediation Apply the Oracle Coherence fixes released in the Critical Patch Update referenced by https://www.oracle.com/security-alerts/cspusep2026.html for the affected 12.2.1.4.0, 14.1.1.0.0, 14.1.2.0.0 and 15.1.1.0.0 lines - Oracle typically ships fixes within the same version line, so confirm the specific patch number against the advisory rather than assuming a major-version upgrade is required. … Detailed patch versions, workarounds, and compensating controls in full report.
