stigmem-node 0.9.0a1 interpolates Postgres backend schema identifiers into SQL strings without defensive quoting. In the affected code path the schema value is operator-controlled, but the unsafe pattern could allow SQL injection if a schema name were derived from tenant, request, or user input. Fixed in 0.9.0a2, which adds identifier quoting and validation. As a workaround, only configure schema names from trusted deployment configuration.
AnalysisAI
SQL injection in stigmem-node 0.9.0a1 stems from PostgreSQL schema identifiers being interpolated into SQL strings without defensive identifier quoting. Operators using the Postgres backend in affected versions are directly impacted; the CVSS 4.0 vector (PR:H, AT:P) reflects that the current vulnerable code path requires operator-level control over schema configuration, though the unsafe pattern creates latent risk if schema names are ever derived from tenant or request input. …

Vulnerability AssessmentAI
| Exploitation | Exploitation requires operator-level privilege to control the PostgreSQL schema name configured for the stigmem-node Postgres backend (PR:H per CVSS 4.0 vector). … Additional conditions and limiting factors are described in the full assessment. |
| Risk Assessment | The CVSS 4.0 score of 7.5 is appropriately calibrated given the PR:H and AT:P metrics: exploitation requires operator-level access to configure schema names, and specific conditions must be present beyond baseline deployment. … Full risk analysis with EPSS, KEV, and SSVC signal comparison available after sign-in. |
| Exploit Scenario | An operator with write access to the stigmem-node deployment configuration injects a crafted PostgreSQL identifier - for example, a schema name containing a closing double-quote followed by appended SQL statements - into the schema setting. When stigmem-node interpolates that value unquoted into a SQL string for the Postgres backend, the injected payload executes arbitrary SQL with the privileges of the database session, enabling data exfiltration or modification. … |
| Remediation | Vendor-released patch: 0.9.0a2. … Detailed patch versions, workarounds, and compensating controls in full report. |
