DescriptionCVE.org

Vulnerability in the Oracle WebCenter Content product of Oracle Fusion Middleware (component: Content Server). Supported versions that are affected are 12.2.1.4.0 and 14.1.2.0.0. Difficult to exploit vulnerability allows low privileged attacker with network access via HTTP to compromise Oracle WebCenter Content. While the vulnerability is in Oracle WebCenter Content, attacks may significantly impact additional products (scope change). Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized access to critical data or complete access to all Oracle WebCenter Content accessible data as well as unauthorized update, insert or delete access to some of Oracle WebCenter Content accessible data. CVSS 3.1 Base Score 7.1 (Confidentiality and Integrity impacts). CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:H/PR:L/UI:N/S:C/C:H/I:L/A:N).

AnalysisAI

Oracle WebCenter Content versions 12.2.1.4.0 and 14.1.2.0.0 expose a high-complexity, network-accessible flaw in the Content Server component that allows low-privileged authenticated attackers to gain unauthorized read access to critical content data and perform limited data manipulation. The vulnerability carries a scope-change designation, meaning successful exploitation can extend impact beyond WebCenter Content itself to adjacent Oracle Fusion Middleware products. …

Vulnerability AssessmentAI

Exploitation Exploitation requires a valid low-privileged account with network access to Oracle WebCenter Content's Content Server over HTTP, per the PR:L and AV:N CVSS metrics - anonymous unauthenticated access is not sufficient based on available vector data. … Additional conditions and limiting factors are described in the full assessment.
Risk Assessment The CVSS 3.1 score of 7.1 (High) reflects the combination of network accessibility, scope change, and high confidentiality impact, but the AC:H metric meaningfully reduces opportunistic exploitation risk - attackers must satisfy specific, non-trivial conditions that are not described in available data. … Full risk analysis with EPSS, KEV, and SSVC signal comparison available after sign-in.
Exploit Scenario Full exploit scenario with step-by-step reproduction available after sign-in.
Remediation Apply Oracle's Critical Patch Update released August 2026, detailed at https://www.oracle.com/security-alerts/cspuaug2026.html, which addresses this vulnerability for the affected versions 12.2.1.4.0 and 14.1.2.0.0. … Detailed patch versions, workarounds, and compensating controls in full report.

Recommended ActionAI

Within 24 hours: Inventory all systems running Oracle WebCenter Content versions 12.2.1.4.0 and 14.1.2.0.0, restrict network access to the Content Server component to essential systems only, and audit current access privileges for low-privileged user accounts. …
