DescriptionCVE.org

Vulnerability in the Oracle WebCenter Content product of Oracle Fusion Middleware (component: Content Server). Supported versions that are affected are 12.2.1.4.0 and 14.1.2.0.0. Easily exploitable vulnerability allows unauthenticated attacker with network access via HTTP to compromise Oracle WebCenter Content. Successful attacks require human interaction from a person other than the attacker and while the vulnerability is in Oracle WebCenter Content, attacks may significantly impact additional products (scope change). Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized creation, deletion or modification access to critical data or all Oracle WebCenter Content accessible data as well as unauthorized access to critical data or complete access to all Oracle WebCenter Content accessible data and unauthorized ability to cause a partial denial of service (partial DOS) of Oracle WebCenter Content. CVSS 3.1 Base Score 9.6 (Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability impacts). CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:H/I:H/A:L).

AnalysisAI

Cross-scope compromise of Oracle WebCenter Content (Content Server component) in Fusion Middleware versions 12.2.1.4.0 and 14.1.2.0.0 allows a remote unauthenticated attacker to fully read, create, modify or delete all Content Server-accessible data and cause a partial denial of service. Oracle rates it CVSS 9.6, driven by a scope change (S:C) meaning successful attacks can significantly impact products beyond WebCenter Content itself. …

Vulnerability AssessmentAI

Exploitation Exploitation requires a reachable Oracle WebCenter Content Content Server accepting HTTP requests (AV:N) and, critically, human interaction from a person other than the attacker (UI:R) - meaning a legitimate user must be induced to perform an action such as opening a crafted link or request, making social engineering/phishing a prerequisite rather than a pure remote-drive-by. … Additional conditions and limiting factors are described in the full assessment.
Risk Assessment The signals are moderately consistent toward high priority but not maximal urgency. … Full risk analysis with EPSS, KEV, and SSVC signal comparison available after sign-in.
Exploit Scenario Full exploit scenario with step-by-step reproduction available after sign-in.
Remediation Apply the fixes delivered in Oracle's Critical Patch Update of August 2026 (https://www.oracle.com/security-alerts/cspuaug2026.html) to WebCenter Content 12.2.1.4.0 and 14.1.2.0.0; Oracle distributes these as CPU patch bundles rather than a single renamed release, so identify the exact patch number for your version from the advisory's WebCenter Content risk matrix and schedule it during a maintenance window. … Detailed patch versions, workarounds, and compensating controls in full report.
