DescriptionCVE.org

SiYuan versions before v3.7.4 contain an information disclosure vulnerability in the getBookmarkLabels endpoint that returns all bookmark labels in the workspace without publish-access filtering. Anonymous readers and publish-mode readers can obtain the complete bookmark vocabulary across the workspace, disclosing subject matter and organizational information from inaccessible documents.

AnalysisAI

The getBookmarkLabels API endpoint in SiYuan before v3.7.4 exposes all workspace bookmark labels to unauthenticated and publish-mode readers due to missing authorization checks (CWE-862), leaking organizational metadata - topic taxonomy, project labels, and subject-matter vocabulary - from documents the requester cannot otherwise access. Any network-reachable SiYuan instance prior to v3.7.4 is affected regardless of publish-mode configuration, as the endpoint applies no access-control filtering. …

Vulnerability AssessmentAI

Exploitation Exploitation requires that the SiYuan instance is running a version prior to v3.7.4 and its HTTP API server is network-reachable from the attacker (internet-exposed or accessible on the local network). … Additional conditions and limiting factors are described in the full assessment.
Risk Assessment The CVSS 4.0 vector (AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N) confirms unauthenticated, zero-complexity network access with no attack prerequisites, representing the most accessible attack posture. … Full risk analysis with EPSS, KEV, and SSVC signal comparison available after sign-in.
Exploit Scenario An external attacker discovers a publicly reachable SiYuan instance via passive DNS enumeration or internet scanning, then sends a single unauthenticated HTTP request to the getBookmarkLabels endpoint. The response immediately returns the complete workspace bookmark label list - including internal project names, classification tags, and topic vocabulary from otherwise inaccessible private documents - which the attacker incorporates into a targeted spear-phishing campaign or competitive intelligence effort. …
Remediation Upgrade to SiYuan v3.7.4 or later, which introduces publish-access filtering on the getBookmarkLabels endpoint as confirmed by the vendor security advisory at https://github.com/siyuan-note/siyuan/security/advisories/GHSA-j4ph-9xwf-wcj4. … Detailed patch versions, workarounds, and compensating controls in full report.

Threat intelligence, references, and detailed analysis are available after sign-in.
