Alert meAnalysisAIv1 – Jul 22, 2026
Unauthorized data compromise in Oracle Payments (Oracle E-Business Suite, File Transmission component) versions 12.2.3 through 12.2.15 allows a low-privileged, network-based attacker to read, create, delete, or modify all data accessible to the Payments module over HTTP. Oracle rates it CVSS 8.1 with high confidentiality and integrity impact but no availability impact, and it is addressed in the Oracle Critical Patch Update of July 2026. There is no public exploit identified at time of analysis and it is not listed in CISA KEV, though the vendor 'Authentication Bypass' tag and low attack complexity make it an attractive target in EBS-exposed environments.

DescriptionCVE.org
Vulnerability in the Oracle Payments product of Oracle E-Business Suite (component: File Transmission). Supported versions that are affected are 12.2.3-12.2.15. Easily exploitable vulnerability allows low privileged attacker with network access via HTTP to compromise Oracle Payments. Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized creation, deletion or modification access to critical data or all Oracle Payments accessible data as well as unauthorized access to critical data or complete access to all Oracle Payments accessible data. CVSS 3.1 Base Score 8.1 (Confidentiality and Integrity impacts). CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:N).
Executive ViewAI
A critical vulnerability in Oracle Payments (Oracle E-Business Suite versions 12.2.3-12.2.15) allows authenticated low-privilege users to read, create, delete, or modify all payment data stored in the Payments module. While no public exploit has been identified at time of analysis, the vulnerability's direct exposure of customer payment information and financial records creates significant risk for fraud and regulatory violations (PCI DSS, SOX). Organizations with affected Oracle EBS versions processing payments require immediate patching to prevent unauthorized access to payment data.
Within 24 hours, inventory all Oracle E-Business Suite deployments running versions 12.2.3 through 12.2.15 with Payments module enabled, prioritize production systems, and document current access control configurations. Within 7 days, apply the Oracle Critical Patch Update (July 2026) to all affected systems; if immediate patching cannot occur, restrict HTTP access to the Payments module to authenticated administrative users only and disable unnecessary HTTP endpoints. By day 30, validate patch application across all systems using Oracle vendor verification tools, conduct database activity audits on the Payments module, and review access control logs to identify any unauthorized payment data access or modifications that occurred during the vulnerability exposure window.
Apply Oracle Critical Patch Update (July 2026). Until patching is complete, restrict network access to the Payments module HTTP interface to authenticated administrators only, enforce HTTPS-only connections to the File Transmission component, and implement database-level monitoring on payment tables to detect unauthorized read/write/delete operations.
