Persistent denial-of-service in Absolute Secure Access servers before version 14.55 allows an authenticated tunnel participant to permanently crash or wedge the server by abusing the tunnel protocol. The CVSS 4.0 vector (7.1, PR:L, VA:H) confirms an availability-only impact requiring some level of tunnel authentication, with no confidentiality or integrity effect despite a mislabeled 'Information Disclosure' tag. There is no public exploit identified at time of analysis and the flaw is not listed in CISA KEV.

CVE-2026-33443 is a memory management error in Secure Access servers prior to 14.55. Attackers with an intimate knowledge of and total control over the tunnel protocol can create a persistent DoS against the server.
Executive ViewAI
Absolute Secure Access servers before version 14.55 contain a vulnerability allowing authenticated tunnel users to crash the service, disrupting secure remote access for organizations dependent on this infrastructure. The risk is amplified in scenarios where tunnel credentials are compromised or insider threats exist, creating a persistent availability risk with no available patch. Organizations must prioritize access controls and monitoring until remediation is possible.
Within 24 hours, complete an inventory of all Absolute Secure Access deployments and their versions, then enable audit logging for tunnel protocol activity and review access controls limiting who can participate in tunnels. Within 7 days, deploy real-time monitoring and alerting for abnormal tunnel behavior patterns and finalize an incident response procedure for DoS detection. Within 30 days, plan and execute an upgrade to version 14.55 once released, implement network-level connection rate limiting on tunnel endpoints, and conduct a full access review to restrict tunnel participation to essential users and systems only.
No vendor-released patch identified at time of analysis. Interim mitigations include: restrict tunnel protocol access to named authorized users and systems with regular review cycles, implement network-level connection throttling and rate limiting on all tunnel endpoints, enable comprehensive audit logging of tunnel activity with automated anomaly detection, isolate Absolute Secure Access infrastructure from critical systems where feasible, and establish escalation procedures for repeated authentication failures or unusual protocol patterns.
