Exploitation Conditions

No special conditions - remote unauthenticated exploitation against default QloApps installations through 1.7.0, because the pre-patch OrderConfirmationController::init() built the guest redirect without validating the order's secure_key (the fix adds Validate::isLoadedObject($order) and hash_equals on secure_key). LIMITING FACTORS: only guest-created orders (guest carts) are exposed - registered-customer orders follow the history flow and are unaffected; the attacker must supply/enumerate id_cart values that actually map to guest carts, and the disclosed data is limited to order references, emails, and booking details plus the guest-to-account conversion. No authentication, no user interaction, and no non-default configuration are required.

Impact

The input CVSS 4.0 vector (AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N/VC:L/VI:L/VA:N) scores 6.9 (Medium): remotely reachable, low attack complexity, no authentication, no user interaction, with low confidentiality and low integrity impact and no availability impact. Signals are largely consistent rather than conflicting: the flaw is unauthenticated and trivially automatable (sequential id_cart enumeration), which argues for real-world practicality, yet EPSS is only 0.23% (13th percentile) and the issue is NOT in CISA KEV, indicating no observed widespread or active exploitation. The vuln.today decision label is 'this_month', not act_now/emergency, matching a genuine-but-bounded priority. The impact ceiling is the key moderating factor: disclosure is limited to guest order references and associated emails plus a guest-to-account conversion, not full system or admin compromise - this is why both VC and VI are rated Low rather than High. Net: a legitimate, patch-this-month authorization flaw (CWE-639 IDOR) rather than a drop-everything emergency, but the unauthenticated + automatable nature means it should not be deprioritized to 'low real risk' either.

Exploit ScenarioDerived

An unauthenticated attacker scripts requests to OrderConfirmationController while incrementing sequential id_cart values that correspond to guest carts, reading the returned Location redirect header to harvest guest order references and the associated customer emails. Using the guest-tracking flow the attacker then views booking details and can convert the guest into a registered account with an attacker-chosen password. No public exploit code is identified at time of analysis, though the VulnCheck advisory documents the technique step-by-step; the CVSS AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N profile confirms the attack needs only network access and no credentials or victim interaction.

AnalysisAIv1 – Oct 28, 2026

QloApps through 1.7.0 exposes guest order data to anyone who can guess a cart identifier: OrderConfirmationController::init() builds its guest-tracking redirect from the attacker-supplied id_cart without confirming that the requester holds the order's secure_key, so sequential id_cart values can be enumerated to harvest guest order references, email addresses and booking details, and to convert a guest into an account with an attacker-chosen password. Only guest-created carts are affected - registered-customer orders follow the history flow and are not exposed - and the impact is bounded to low confidentiality and low integrity loss rather than code execution or data destruction. Remote unauthenticated exploitation of default installations is possible with no user interaction; EPSS is low (0.23%, 13th percentile), no public exploit code has been identified at time of analysis, and the weakness is not listed in CISA KEV, so this fits scheduled remediation rather than emergency response.

RemediationAI

Apply the upstream fix, which the vendor reports as available: pull request https://github.com/Qloapps/QloApps/pull/1912, merged as commit 64c62aca58779c9b507d9dc2c80b216b28f55bae. That change is a code-level fix rather than a tagged release in the supplied data, so upgrade to the first QloApps release that contains commit 64c62aca and verify the fix is present by confirming that controllers/front/OrderConfirmationController.php gates the guest-tracking redirect on Validate::isLoadedObject($order) and a hash_equals() comparison of the order's secure_key against the request's secure_key before treating the deployment as patched. QloApps installs pinned to 1.7.0 or earlier should be updated rather than left in place, since the vulnerable branch is reachable anonymously on a default configuration with no special preconditions. The supplied sources document no interim workaround, configuration toggle or vendor-recommended compensating control for this issue; if an upgrade cannot be scheduled immediately, the decision guidance here is scheduled remediation this month rather than emergency change, and any temporary restriction of the guest-tracking and order-confirmation endpoints would have to be an environment-specific reverse-proxy rule evaluated against your own booking flow and weighed against breaking legitimate guest order lookups.

Technical ContextAI · show details

QloApps is a PHP hotel-booking and property-management application built on the PrestaShop e-commerce framework, and the flaw sits in the shop's front-controller layer - controllers/front/OrderConfirmationController.php - which is reached after checkout completes. The controller reads the customer-supplied id_cart parameter and passes it to Cart::isGuestCartByCartId(); pre-patch, that boolean alone decided whether the browser was redirected to index.php?controller=guest-tracking or index.php?controller=history, and the redirect target was emitted in the Location response header. Nothing bound the request to the order: the order object's secure_key was never compared against the caller's secure_key. This is CWE-639 (Authorization Bypass Through User-Controlled Key), a classic insecure direct object reference in which an internal sequential identifier doubles as the authorization token. Because the key space is enumerable, an attacker can walk id_cart values, read the redirect header to learn whether each cart belongs to a guest, then use guest-tracking to view the associated booking details and email, and finally complete the guest-to-account conversion with a password of their choosing. The upstream fix in PR #1912 / commit 64c62aca restructures init() so that the guest-tracking branch is taken only when the cart is a guest cart, Validate::isLoadedObject($order) confirms the order resolved, and hash_equals() compares the order's secure_key to the request's secure_key - a constant-time equality check on a secret, which is the missing authorization step. Note that the id_cart lookup and guest-cart helpers are only relevant to guest carts; orders placed by registered customers never enter the vulnerable branch.

DescriptionCVE.org

QloApps through 1.7.0 contains an information disclosure vulnerability in OrderConfirmationController::init() that allows unauthenticated attackers to obtain guest order references and emails by supplying guest id_cart values. Attackers can iterate sequential id_cart values, read the Location redirect header, view booking details via guest-tracking, and convert guests into accounts with attacker-chosen passwords.
