Network-reachable, unauthenticated single-request file read/write chaining to code execution justifies AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N with full C/I/A impact; scope unchanged as impact stays on the host.

DescriptionCVE.org

TEN Framework 0.11.71 contains unauthenticated arbitrary file read and write vulnerabilities in the TMAN Designer file-content API endpoints. Attackers can submit POST and PUT requests to the /api/designer/v1/file-content endpoints to read arbitrary files or write malicious content to system paths, enabling code execution through authorized_keys, cron files, or executable graph files.

AnalysisAI

Unauthenticated arbitrary file read and write in TEN Framework 0.11.71 lets remote attackers hit the TMAN Designer file-content API (POST/PUT to /api/designer/v1/file-content) with no credentials, reading any file the service can access and writing attacker-controlled content to arbitrary system paths. Because the write primitive can drop SSH authorized_keys, cron jobs, or executable graph files, it escalates directly to remote code execution. …

Vulnerability AssessmentAI

Exploitation Exploitation requires network reachability to the TMAN Designer file-content API of TEN Framework 0.11.71 at /api/designer/v1/file-content, which accepts POST (read) and PUT (write) requests with no authentication, no user interaction, and against the default configuration (CWE-306, CVSS PR:N/UI:N/AC:L). … Additional conditions and limiting factors are described in the full assessment.
Risk Assessment This is a genuine high-priority issue rather than an inflated CVSS number: the CVSS 4.0 vector (AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N/VC:H/VI:H/VA:H, score 9.3) aligns cleanly with the description - a network-reachable, unauthenticated, single-request read/write primitive that chains to code execution, so all three impact metrics being High is justified. … Full risk analysis with EPSS, KEV, and SSVC signal comparison available after sign-in.
Exploit Scenario Full exploit scenario with step-by-step reproduction available after sign-in.
Remediation No vendor-released patched version is identified at time of analysis (the GitHub issue #2187 tracking this is the primary reference and no fixed tag is confirmed), so monitor the TEN Framework repository and the VulnCheck advisory for a fixed release and upgrade as soon as one ships. … Detailed patch versions, workarounds, and compensating controls in full report.

Recommended ActionAI

Within 24 hours, identify and inventory all systems running TEN Framework 0.11.71, then immediately disable or network-isolate the TMAN Designer file-content API endpoints (POST/PUT /api/designer/v1/file-content) to block exploitation vectors. …
