DescriptionCVE.org

The Botslab G980H dash camera firmware generates session identifiers using a small sequential value space rather than a suitably unpredictable source. An unauthenticated attacker with adjacent network access and knowledge that an active session exists could potentially determine a valid session identifier and use it to bypass intended authorization controls.

AnalysisAI

Predictable session identifier generation in the Botslab G980H dash camera allows an unauthenticated attacker on the same adjacent network to enumerate or guess a valid session ID and use it to bypass the device's authorization controls, gaining high-impact read/write access to camera functionality. Exploitation is constrained rather than trivial: the attacker must already be on the same local/link-layer network as the camera and must time the attempt to coincide with a legitimate active session, and the supplied CVSS 4.0 vector reflects that prerequisite via AT:P alongside AV:A, PR:N and UI:N. …

Vulnerability AssessmentAI

Exploitation Exploitation requires adjacent-network access to a Botslab G980H dash camera (AV:A - same local/link-layer network, not remote internet), plus the attacker must know that a legitimate active session currently exists (reflected as AT:P in the 4.0 vector). … Additional conditions and limiting factors are described in the full assessment.
Risk Assessment This is a genuine but not high-priority weakness. … Full risk analysis with EPSS, KEV, and SSVC signal comparison available after sign-in.
Exploit Scenario Full exploit scenario with step-by-step reproduction available after sign-in.
Remediation No vendor-released patch identified in the available data at time of analysis, so remediation must currently rely on compensating controls rather than an upgrade. … Detailed patch versions, workarounds, and compensating controls in full report.

Recommended ActionAI

Within 24 hours, inventory all Botslab G980H dash cameras and confirm whether any are deployed on shared or untrusted local networks; where feasible, disable Wi-Fi/network pairing or move the cameras onto an isolated VLAN or dedicated hotspot with no other business systems. …
