Vulnerability in the Oracle Net Services component of Oracle Database Server. Supported versions that are affected are 19.3-19.32, 21.3-21.23 and 23.4.0-23.26.3. Easily exploitable vulnerability allows unauthenticated attacker with network access via Oracle Net to compromise Oracle Net Services. Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized ability to cause a hang or frequently repeatable crash (complete DOS) of Oracle Net Services. CVSS 3.1 Base Score 7.5 (Availability impacts). CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H).

AnalysisAI

Unauthenticated denial of service in Oracle Net Services, the networking component bundled with Oracle Database Server, allows a remote attacker who can reach the Oracle Net listener to hang or repeatedly crash the service. Affected releases are Oracle Database 19c (19.3-19.32), 21c (21.3-21.23) and 23ai (23.4.0-23.26.3), with a CVSS 3.1 base score of 7.5 driven purely by availability impact. …

Vulnerability AssessmentAI

Exploitation No special conditions beyond network reachability to the Oracle Net listener on the target database server - the CVSS vector is AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N, so no authentication, no user interaction, and no non-default database feature is required. … Additional conditions and limiting factors are described in the full assessment.
Risk Assessment The CVSS 3.1 vector (AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H, 7.5) describes a low-skill, pre-authentication, network-delivered denial of service - the most automatable class of issue, and Oracle explicitly labels it 'easily exploitable'. … Full risk analysis with EPSS, KEV, and SSVC signal comparison available after sign-in.
Exploit Scenario Full exploit scenario with step-by-step reproduction available after sign-in.
Remediation Apply the Oracle Critical Patch Update that addresses this issue, as published in the Oracle Security Alert at https://www.oracle.com/security-alerts/cspusep2026.html - Oracle's CPU advisories are cumulative, so install the current CPU for the affected release (19c, 21c, or 23ai) and confirm the patch supersedes the version range 19.3-19.32, 21.3-21.23, or 23.4.0-23.26.3 in use. … Detailed patch versions, workarounds, and compensating controls in full report.
