DescriptionCVE.org

Dokploy is a free, self-hostable Platform as a Service (PaaS). Prior to 0.29.13, Dokploy passes user-controlled values directly into shell commands via unquoted template literal interpolation in the registry credential testing and Docker Swarm cluster management endbpoints. Both endpoints have a safe local code path (using execFileAsync or the Docker API) but a vulnerable remote path (using execAsyncRemote which runs the shell string via SSH). This vulnerability is fixed in 0.29.13.

AnalysisAI

Remote command injection in Dokploy self-hosted PaaS before 0.29.13 allows an authenticated dashboard user to execute arbitrary shell commands on managed remote nodes. The registry credential-testing and Docker Swarm cluster-management endpoints interpolate user-controlled values (nodeId, imagePrefix/username driving the registry tag) into unquoted shell strings that run over SSH via execAsyncRemote. …

Vulnerability AssessmentAI

Exploitation Exploitation requires (1) an authenticated Dokploy account (PR:L) with access to the registry credential-testing or Docker Swarm cluster-management functions, and (2) the target operation running through the REMOTE execution path - i.e. … Additional conditions and limiting factors are described in the full assessment.
Risk Assessment The signals converge on a genuine high priority rather than an inflated CVSS: AV:N/AC:L means network-reachable and low-complexity, S:C reflects that a successful injection escapes the application boundary to compromise the remote host over SSH (often as a Docker-privileged/root user), and C:H/I:H/A:H reflect full host takeover. … Full risk analysis with EPSS, KEV, and SSVC signal comparison available after sign-in.
Exploit Scenario An authenticated Dokploy user with access to cluster or registry features supplies a malicious value - for example an imagePrefix or nodeId containing `$(...)` or a `; touch /tmp/pwned` payload - into a registry configuration or Swarm node operation. When Dokploy manages a remote node, execAsyncRemote sends the unquoted command over SSH and /bin/sh executes the injected command on the remote host with the SSH user's privileges, yielding remote code execution. …
Remediation Vendor-released patch: upgrade to Dokploy 0.29.13 or later, which wraps all user-controlled interpolations with shell-quote's quote() in cluster.ts, upload.ts, and gpu-setup.ts (fix commit df2779e; release https://github.com/Dokploy/dokploy/releases/tag/v0.29.13; advisory https://github.com/Dokploy/dokploy/security/advisories/GHSA-4mfc-grxw-6858). … Detailed patch versions, workarounds, and compensating controls in full report.
