A:L added over vendor vector because /delete_scan/ permanently destroys scan data; all other metrics align with network-reachable, user-interaction-dependent CSRF with no privilege requirement.

MobSF is a mobile application security testing tool used. Prior to 4.5.1, mobsf/MobSF/settings.py places django.middleware.csrf.CsrfViewMiddleware only in the deprecated MIDDLEWARE_CLASSES setting and omits it from the active MIDDLEWARE tuple, allowing a remote attacker to make a logged-in victim submit cross-site POST requests to authenticated web endpoints including /delete_scan/, /upload/, /download_scan/, /change_password/, /create_user/, and /delete_user/. This can delete scans, upload or download applications, change passwords, or manage users with the victim account permissions. This issue is fixed in version 4.5.1.
AnalysisAI
Cross-site request forgery in MobSF prior to 4.5.1 enables a remote attacker to perform destructive authenticated actions - including scan deletion, password changes, user creation/deletion, and file upload/download - against a logged-in victim's instance. The root cause is a Django migration regression: CsrfViewMiddleware was left in the deprecated MIDDLEWARE_CLASSES setting (ignored since Django 2.0) and never added to the active MIDDLEWARE tuple, leaving all POST endpoints unprotected. …

Vulnerability AssessmentAI
| Exploitation | The victim must be actively authenticated to MobSF (holding a valid session cookie) and must visit an attacker-controlled webpage during that session - this is the required user interaction (UI:R). … Additional conditions and limiting factors are described in the full assessment. |
| Risk Assessment | The CVSS 3.1 vector AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:N/I:H/A:N scores 6.5, reflecting low attack complexity and high integrity impact, offset by required user interaction. … Full risk analysis with EPSS, KEV, and SSVC signal comparison available after sign-in. |
| Exploit Scenario | Full exploit scenario with step-by-step reproduction available after sign-in. |
| Remediation | Upgrade MobSF to version 4.5.1, which resolves the issue by adding django.middleware.csrf.CsrfViewMiddleware to the active MIDDLEWARE tuple in settings.py. … Detailed patch versions, workarounds, and compensating controls in full report. |
