Reachable via web-delivered URL scheme (AV:N) with only a click (UI:R, PR:N); injected OS commands escape the app to run against the host (S:C) with full C/I and, since arbitrary commands can destroy data, A:H rather than the vendor's A:N.

DescriptionCVE.org

Improper neutralization of special elements used in an OS command ('OS command injection') vulnerability in Digitální a informační agentura (DIA) eObčanka-Identifikace on MacOS enables an attacker to register a custom URL scheme (czeeopauth://) for parameterized application execution. Prior to version 3.6.0, incoming URL parameters were passed to the compiled AppleScript wrapper using concatenation without sufficient sanitization.

AnalysisAI

OS command injection in the Digitální a informační agentura (DIA) eObčanka-Identifikace macOS client (the Czech national electronic-ID 'eOP' identification app) lets a remote attacker execute arbitrary shell commands by luring a victim to open a crafted czeeopauth:// URL. Versions prior to 3.6.0 pass incoming URL-scheme parameters into a compiled AppleScript wrapper via string concatenation without sanitization, so attacker-controlled input breaks out of the intended command. …

Vulnerability AssessmentAI

Exploitation Exploitation requires the victim to have the vulnerable eObčanka-Identifikace app (prior to 3.6.0) installed on macOS, which registers the czeeopauth:// custom URL scheme, and requires the victim to open an attacker-crafted czeeopauth:// URL (user interaction, UI:R) - for example by clicking a link in a browser, email, or another app. … Additional conditions and limiting factors are described in the full assessment.
Risk Assessment The signals are moderately strong but incomplete. … Full risk analysis with EPSS, KEV, and SSVC signal comparison available after sign-in.
Exploit Scenario Full exploit scenario with step-by-step reproduction available after sign-in.
Remediation Upgrade to eObčanka-Identifikace 3.6.0 or later on macOS, which sanitizes the URL-scheme parameters before they reach the AppleScript wrapper (Vendor-released patch: 3.6.0); consult the DIA advisory at https://info.identita.gov.cz/eop/BezpecnostniOznameni/CVE-2026-59111.aspx. … Detailed patch versions, workarounds, and compensating controls in full report.

Recommended ActionAI
