Lifecycle Timeline
1DescriptionNVD
A vulnerability in the deep packet inspection (DPI) engine of Cisco SD-WAN vEdge Routers could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to cause a denial of service (DoS) condition on an affected device. The vulnerability is due to improper processing of FTP traffic. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending crafted FTP packets through an affected device. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to make the device reboot continuously, causing a DoS condition.
AnalysisAI
A vulnerability in the deep packet inspection (DPI) engine of Cisco SD-WAN vEdge Routers could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to cause a denial of service (DoS) condition on an affected. Rated high severity (CVSS 7.5), this vulnerability is remotely exploitable, no authentication required, low attack complexity. No vendor patch available.
Technical ContextAI
This vulnerability is classified under CWE-118. Affected products include: Cisco Sd-Wan Firmware, Cisco Vedge Cloud Router.
RemediationAI
No vendor patch is available at time of analysis. Monitor vendor advisories for updates. Apply vendor patches when available. Implement network segmentation and monitoring as interim mitigations.
