CVE-2026-59354 Aug 27, 06:33 HIGH This Week

Insufficient input validation in Spring Security's OAuth2 Authorization Server module (versions 7.0.0-7.0.4) allows an attacker holding a valid Initial Access Token to register a malicious OAuth2 client with crafted metadata fields via the Dynamic Client Registration endpoint. Depending on server configuration and how the metadata is subsequently rendered or fetched, the impact spans Stored XSS (targeting administrator sessions), Privilege Escalation (through insufficiently constrained scopes or grant types), or SSRF against internal infrastructure. No public exploit code or CISA KEV listing exists at time of analysis, but the SSVC framework rates the technical impact as total, warranting priority remediation for any deployment with Dynamic Client Registration explicitly enabled.
