| Exploitation Conditions | Requires a valid authenticated JeecgBoot account of any privilege level (CVSS PR:L); exploitation then needs no special configuration because the /sys/sysAnnouncementSend/list endpoint is unguarded by default and the getOne handler performs no ownership check on the sendId parameter. The practical limiting factor is that the attacker must first obtain or register a low-privileged session - it is not exploitable fully unauthenticated - and impact is confined to reading other users' in-application announcement/messages (no write or availability impact). No user interaction, no non-default settings, and no specific platform are required beyond JeecgBoot at or below version 3.9.5. |
| Impact | This is a genuine but moderate-priority issue, best characterized as a confidentiality-only IDOR rather than a system-compromise flaw. The CVSS 4.0 vector (AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:L/UI:N) and the 5.3 Medium score align well with the description: the attacker needs network access and valid low-privilege authentication (PR:L), no user interaction, and low attack complexity - consistent with an authenticated user enumerating another user's message records. Impact is limited to confidentiality (VC:L, VI:N, VA:N): message titles, bodies, senders, and recipients are disclosed, but nothing is modified and no availability is affected. Exploitation signals are mixed: a public POC exists (publicly available exploit code), which raises practical exploitability, but there is NO CISA KEV listing and no EPSS score was provided in the input, so there is no evidence of widespread active exploitation. The 'Authentication Bypass' tag is misleading - this is not an auth bypass; it requires an authenticated session (PR:L) and is an authorization/IDOR defect (CWE-639). The low-privilege authentication requirement and confidentiality-only impact keep real-world severity in the medium band despite the available exploit. |
| Exploit ScenarioDerived | A low-privileged but authenticated JeecgBoot user queries the unguarded /sys/sysAnnouncementSend/list endpoint to harvest valid delivery-record IDs, then submits those IDs as the sendId parameter to the getOne handler of SysAnnouncementSendController to read messages belonging to other users. A public POC (poc_announcement_send_get_one.py) automates this enumeration, and because attack complexity is low (AC:L) and no user interaction is needed, the attack is reliable once any valid account is obtained. |

Alert meAnalysisAIv1 – Oct 10, 2026
Authenticated insecure direct object reference in JeecgBoot through 3.9.5 allows any logged-in user to read other users' in-application announcement messages by passing an attacker-chosen sendId to the getOne handler of SysAnnouncementSendController. Valid delivery-record identifiers are trivially harvested from the unguarded /sys/sysAnnouncementSend/list endpoint, after which getOne returns message titles, bodies, senders and recipients without any ownership check, producing a confidentiality-only impact with no write or availability effect (CVSS 4.0 base 5.3; assessed CVSS 3.1 5.3, AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N). Exploitation requires a valid low-privileged account but no special configuration or user interaction; publicly available exploit code exists in the form of a published GitHub proof-of-concept script, and there is no KEV confirmation of active exploitation, so this should be treated as a moderate-priority, exploitation-ready information-disclosure issue rather than a system-compromise flaw.
RemediationAI
No vendor-released patch with an exact fixed version is identified in the available data; the VulnCheck advisory and the referenced source lines are the authoritative tracking points, so confirm the current fix state at https://www.vulncheck.com/advisories/jeecgboot-through-3.9.5-idor-via-sys-sysannouncementsend-getone and with the JeecgBoot project before assuming an upgrade resolves the issue. The durable fix is code-level: in SysAnnouncementSendController.getOne (around lines 272-276) enforce object-level authorization so the record identified by sendId is returned only when the authenticated principal is the sender or the designated recipient, and apply the same ownership filter to the /sys/sysAnnouncementSend/list endpoint so it no longer leaks other users' delivery record IDs. Where modifying the application is not immediately possible, compensating controls are: restrict network and role access to /sys/sysAnnouncementSend/list and the getOne route through an upstream gateway or Shiro/Spring Security filter, accepting that this may break the in-app message center for legitimate users unless scoped by role; and add request-level monitoring or WAF rules that flag sequential or high-volume sendId enumeration against getOne, with the trade-off that such heuristics can miss slow manual exploitation and may generate false positives on busy tenants. Note that because only a low-privileged account is needed, credential hygiene and audit of self-registered accounts reduce but do not eliminate exposure.

Technical ContextAI · show details
JeecgBoot is a Java/Spring Boot low-code development platform whose system module (jeecg-system-biz) exposes a REST controller, SysAnnouncementSendController, for managing announcement delivery records. The flaw is CWE-639 (Authorization Bypass Through User-Controlled Key): the getOne handler accepts a caller-supplied sendId and uses it to look up a delivery record directly by primary key, without verifying that the requesting principal is either the sender or the intended recipient of that record. Because the companion /sys/sysAnnouncementSend/list route is not protected by an ownership or role filter, it acts as an identifier oracle that discloses the delivery record IDs needed to drive the getOne call. The affected CPE, cpe:2.3:a:jeecgboot:jeecgboot:*:*:*:*:*:*:*:*, is an open-ended wildcard consistent with all released versions up through 3.9.5 being vulnerable; the fix point is the 3.9.5 boundary and the vulnerable logic is visible in the public source at lines 272-276 of SysAnnouncementSendController.java. The root cause is missing object-level authorization on a read path, a classic IDOR pattern that requires only a low-privileged authenticated session (PR:L) to reach.

DescriptionCVE.org
JeecgBoot through 3.9.5 contains an insecure direct object reference vulnerability that allows authenticated users to read other users' in-application messages via the getOne handler of SysAnnouncementSendController. Attackers can obtain delivery record ids from the unguarded /sys/sysAnnouncementSend/list endpoint and supply them as the sendId parameter to retrieve message titles, bodies, senders and recipients.
