MITRE ATT&CK
2 techniques across 2 tactics: Initial Access, Execution The technique list with ATT&CK links and the kill-chain view is part of the Basic plan and up. |
| Exploitation Conditions | Exploitation requires an authenticated account with page-editor privileges on the YesWiki instance (CVSS PR:L) and use of the Bazar 'valeur' action's url parameter - the specific feature that fetches the supplied URL server-side. The SSRF half requires the attacker to know or guess internal/loopback targets reachable from the server; the XSS half additionally requires a separate victim to view the page containing the injected unescaped remote HTML for script execution to occur. Limiting factors: no anonymous exploitation is possible (editor-level authentication is mandatory), the XSS branch depends on victim interaction (viewing), and instances must be running a version before 4.6.7. |
| Impact | This is a medium-severity, authenticated dual-flaw (SSRF + stored/reflected XSS, CWE-79) in YesWiki's Bazar 'valeur' action. The provided CVSS 4.0 vector (AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:L/UI:N) and score of 5.3 indicate network-reachable, low-complexity exploitation but requiring low privileges (PR:L) - i.e., an authenticated page editor, not an anonymous attacker. All impact metrics are Low (VC:L/VI:L/VA:L and subsequent-system SC:L/SI:L/SA:L), consistent with information probing rather than full compromise. No EPSS score, SSVC decision, or KEV entry is present in the input, and no public exploit is indicated; there is no public exploit identified at time of analysis. The realistic risk is therefore moderate and gated by the trust model: an organization must already have granted an attacker page-editor rights for exploitation, which contradicts treating this as a mass-exploitable internet threat. The SSRF (fetch arbitrary loopback/internal URLs) is the more serious half, enabling internal service reconnaissance from the server's network position, while the XSS requires a victim to view attacker-injected content. No conflicting signals exist between the CVSS vector and the description - both agree on network vector with required authentication - but the absence of EPSS/KEV/POC data means exploitation likelihood cannot be quantified beyond 'no confirmed active exploitation.' |
| Exploit ScenarioDerived | An attacker holding page-editor credentials on a YesWiki instance (before 4.6.7) submits a Bazar 'valeur' action with a loopback or internal URL (e.g., http://169.254.169.254/ or http://127.0.0.1:port) in the url parameter, causing the server to fetch it and reveal internal service responses. The same action injects unescaped remote HTML, so when another user views the page their browser executes the attacker's script. No public exploit code is identified at time of analysis. |

Alert meAnalysisAIv1 – Oct 02, 2026
Server-side request forgery and cross-site scripting in YesWiki before 4.6.7 allow an authenticated page editor to abuse the Bazar 'valeur' action to make the server fetch arbitrary URLs, including loopback and internal addresses, and to inject unescaped remote HTML that executes script in a victim's browser. Exploitation requires an editor-level account (CVSS PR:L) and, for the XSS half, a separate victim viewing the poisoned page, so anonymous remote exploitation is not possible; no public exploit identified at time of analysis. Risk is medium severity per the assessed CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N, and a vendor-released fix is available in 4.6.7.
RemediationAI
Upgrade to YesWiki 4.6.7 or later, which is the vendor-released patch for CVE-2026-104470, and follow the GitHub security advisory GHSA-6rvf-7pwm-6j44 (https://github.com/YesWiki/yeswiki/security/advisories/GHSA-6rvf-7pwm-6j44) or the VulnCheck advisory at https://www.vulncheck.com/advisories/yeswiki-before-4.6.7-ssrf-and-xss-via-bazar-valeur-action. If the upgrade cannot be applied immediately, restrict page-editor privileges to trusted accounts, since the flaw requires authenticated editor access (PR:L) and removing that role eliminates the attack path at the cost of editorial workflow; alternatively disable or constrain the Bazar 'valeur' action so it cannot accept an arbitrary 'url' parameter, trading away the dynamic content embedding that uses it. Add server-side egress filtering on the YesWiki host to block requests to loopback (127.0.0.0/8, ::1), link-local (169.254.0.0/16), and RFC1918 ranges so SSRF probes fail, accepting that legitimate outbound integrations against internal networks will break. Deploy a Content-Security-Policy that disallows inline and untrusted third-party script to blunt the XSS branch while patches roll out, noting the risk of breaking legitimate site functionality, and audit editor activity for unexpected 'valeur' action usage.

Technical ContextAI · show details
The Bazar 'valeur' action in YesWiki renders values by having the server fetch a URL supplied through its 'url' parameter, and this endpoint performs no destination validation or allow/deny listing. An editor can therefore point the fetch at loopback (127.0.0.1), link-local, or RFC1918 targets and use the server as a proxy to probe internal services - the classic server-side request forgery class (CWE-918), though the assigned CWE is 79. Because the fetched remote document is subsequently embedded into the generated page without output escaping, attacker-controlled remote HTML/JavaScript is rendered in the browser of any user who views that page, matching CWE-79 (improper neutralization of input during web page generation), which is why the intelligence tags list both XSS and SSRF. The affected CPE cpe:2.3:a:yeswiki:yeswiki:*:*:*:*:*:*:*:* is unscoped by version, consistent with a flaw in the action's code path rather than a platform-specific build, so the entire pre-4.6.7 release line shares the same vulnerable fetch-and-render behavior.

Lifecycle Timeline
1DescriptionCVE.org
YesWiki before 4.6.7 contains a server-side request forgery vulnerability in the Bazar valeur action that allows page editors to make the server fetch arbitrary URLs. Attackers can supply loopback or internal URLs in the url parameter to probe internal services and inject unescaped remote HTML that executes scripts in viewers' browsers.
