Exploitation Conditions

Requires a low-privileged authenticated account on a DevaslanPHP project-management instance (versions 1.2.1-1.2.4 or v2.0.0-beta1) with access to the Jira Import feature. The attacker invokes the updateJiraProjects function at /jira-import and supplies attacker-controlled host/username/token values; the missing canAccess authorization check allows the request to proceed. Limiting factors: authentication is required (PR:L), the feature must be present/reachable, and impact is partial (constrained SSRF), reducing realistic severity below its network-exploitable rating.

Impact

This is a genuine but low-priority issue. The vendor CVSS 4.0 vector (AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:L/UI:P) rates it 5.1 (medium), and the SSVC-style exploitation signal E:P (proof-of-concept) aligns with the confirmed public exploit. Real-world risk is bounded by three factors: exploitation requires at least a low-privileged authenticated account (PR:L), the impact is limited (vendor VC:L/VI:L/VA:L - partial across the board, consistent with a constrained/non-blind SSRF rather than full RCE or data theft), and the affected product (DevaslanPHP project-management) is an obscure open-source PHP application with a tiny deployment footprint. No EPSS score, KEV listing, or evidence of active exploitation was provided - only public POC code exists, which is a distinct and weaker signal than in-the-wild exploitation. The UI:P in the vendor vector is questionable for an SSRF the attacker triggers directly via the /jira-import function; I assess UI:N (see assessed vector). Net: a real, publicly-documented SSRF worth patching where deployed, but not a widespread-threat priority given the niche product and authentication requirement.

Exploit ScenarioDerived

A low-privileged authenticated user of a DevaslanPHP project-management instance submits a Jira Import request (updateJiraProjects on /jira-import) with an attacker-controlled host/username/token, causing the server to make a request to an internal or attacker-chosen destination. Because a canAccess authorization check is missing, the action succeeds and can be used to probe internal services or reach cloud metadata endpoints. A public POC exists on GitHub (dddwmr/CVE).

AnalysisAIv1 – Sep 28, 2026

Server-side request forgery in DevaslanPHP project-management affects versions 1.2.1 through 1.2.4 and v2.0.0-beta1 and allows an authenticated, low-privileged user to make the application issue requests to attacker-chosen destinations. The flaw sits in the updateJiraProjects function of the /jira-import endpoint, where host, username and token parameters are accepted without an adequate authorization check (per the independent assessment, a missing canAccess check), so any user who can reach the Jira Import feature can force outbound connections from the server while only obtaining limited read/write effect. Publicly available exploit code exists (also reflected by the E:P metric in the vendor-supplied CVSS 4.0 vector), but there is no indication of confirmed active exploitation, and the vendor was contacted early and did not respond. This is a genuine but low-priority issue: the assessed CVSS 3.1 vector is AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:L/A:N, i.e. partial confidentiality and integrity impact only, gated behind authenticated access to the import feature.

RemediationAI

No vendor-released patch was identified at time of analysis; the disclosure states the vendor was contacted early and did not respond, so version numbers for a fix cannot be cited from the provided data. Until an official update from the DevaslanPHP project-management maintainers is published, apply compensating controls: restrict the /jira-import endpoint (and the Jira Import feature generally) to a small set of trusted administrative accounts or disable the feature outright if Jira synchronization is not in use - the trade-off is loss of Jira import/sync functionality. Enforce egress filtering on the application server so outbound HTTP(S) is limited to an allowlist of legitimate Jira hostnames and blocked toward loopback, RFC1918 private ranges and link-local/cloud metadata addresses (169.254.169.254, 100.100.100.200) - this is the most effective containment for SSRF but requires an accurate inventory of outbound dependencies or it will break other integrations. Additionally, validate/allowlist the host parameter server-side before any request is issued, and re-check authorization around updateJiraProjects so that the import action cannot be triggered by low-privileged users. Monitor the references at https://vuldb.com/vuln/410850 and https://vuldb.com/cve/CVE-2026-100900 for an updated vendor advisory, and treat the public exploit code at the linked GitHub repository as a reason to prioritize these mitigations even though active exploitation is not confirmed.

Technical ContextAI · show details

The root cause class is CWE-918 (Server-Side Request Forgery): user-supplied input used to construct an outbound request without validating or restricting the destination. In the Jira Import component, the updateJiraProjects routine behind /jira-import takes attacker-controllable host, username and token values and uses them to drive a server-side connection, and the missing canAccess authorization check means the request is not properly gated to users who should be permitted to configure the import. The CPE string cpe:2.3:a:devaslanphp:project-management:*:*:*:*:*:*:*:* is a wildcard, indicating the affected package is the project-management application as a whole rather than a specific build. The technology chain is a web application endpoint that performs HTTP calls to a Jira instance; because the destination host is controllable, the server itself becomes the request proxy, which is what permits targeting of resources the attacker could not reach directly. The independent assessment frames the impact as constrained SSRF with only low-level confidentiality and integrity effects rather than full internal-network compromise or credential theft, which is consistent with the C:L/I:L/A:N scoring.
