Vulnerability in the Applications DBA product of Oracle E-Business Suite (component: ADPatch). Supported versions that are affected are 12.2.3-12.2.15. Easily exploitable vulnerability allows unauthenticated attacker with logon to the infrastructure where Applications DBA executes to compromise Applications DBA. Successful attacks require human interaction from a person other than the attacker. Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in takeover of Applications DBA. CVSS 3.1 Base Score 7.8 (Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability impacts). CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H).
AnalysisAI
Oracle E-Business Suite's Applications DBA component (ADPatch) contains a flaw in versions 12.2.3 through 12.2.15 that allows an attacker who already holds a logon on the host infrastructure to take over Applications DBA without presenting Oracle application credentials. Exploitation requires the attacker to persuade another person to perform some interaction (UI:R) and is scored 7.8 with full confidentiality, integrity and availability impact. …

Vulnerability AssessmentAI
| Exploitation | The attacker must first obtain a logon on the infrastructure where Applications DBA executes (AV:L), such as a valid OS account on an EBS application-tier or database-tier host - no Oracle application authentication is required (PR:N). … Additional conditions and limiting factors are described in the full assessment. |
| Risk Assessment | The CVSS 3.1 vector (AV:L/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H, 7.8) is internally consistent but must be read carefully: AV:L means the attacker must already have a logon on the infrastructure hosting Applications DBA, and UI:R means a non-attacker user must be induced to perform an action, which materially reduces opportunistic, mass-exploitation potential. … Full risk analysis with EPSS, KEV, and SSVC signal comparison available after sign-in. |
| Exploit Scenario | Full exploit scenario with step-by-step reproduction available after sign-in. |
| Remediation | Apply the Oracle Critical Security Patch Update referenced at https://www.oracle.com/security-alerts/cspusep2026.html; the advisory is the only patch reference provided and no exact fix version number was included in this intelligence package, so confirm the patched AD/ADPatch build level there before rollout. … Detailed patch versions, workarounds, and compensating controls in full report. |
