Race condition requires precisely timed concurrent requests (AC:H); no authentication or user interaction needed; impact is confidentiality-only as the attack only reads existing secrets.

DescriptionCVE.org

PasswordPusher before 2.11.1 contains a time-of-check-to-time-of-use race condition in view limit enforcement that allows unauthenticated attackers to bypass expire_after_views limits. Attackers can send concurrent requests to the show endpoint to access one-time secrets multiple times before the view count is incremented and the push expires.

AnalysisAI

Remote unauthenticated retrieval of expired one-time secrets in PasswordPusher before 2.11.1 is enabled by a TOCTOU race condition in the expire_after_views view-limit enforcement logic. By issuing multiple simultaneous HTTP requests to the show endpoint, an attacker can read a secret that was configured to self-destruct after a single view, defeating the core confidentiality guarantee the tool is designed to provide. …

Vulnerability AssessmentAI

Exploitation The attacker must possess the specific secret URL - PasswordPusher does not expose secrets without the URL token, so URL-guessing is not a practical attack path given standard token entropy. … Additional conditions and limiting factors are described in the full assessment.
Risk Assessment The CVSS 4.0 score of 8.7 (AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N/VC:H) reflects a high-confidence, network-reachable, unauthenticated confidentiality impact, consistent with the attack's low technical barrier - concurrent HTTP requests require no specialized tooling. … Full risk analysis with EPSS, KEV, and SSVC signal comparison available after sign-in.
Exploit Scenario Full exploit scenario with step-by-step reproduction available after sign-in.
Remediation Vendor-released patch: version 2.11.1. … Detailed patch versions, workarounds, and compensating controls in full report.
