HTTP redirect path is trivially exploitable from network with no auth; SSRF is read-only (C:H, I:N, A:N); no scope change since impact is on the API server itself.

2DescriptionCVE.org
LLaMA-Factory contains a server-side request forgery vulnerability in the OpenAI-compatible API multimodal media URL handler that allows unauthenticated attackers to bypass SSRF validation. The check_ssrf_url guard validates URLs once but requests.get follows redirects and re-resolves DNS without re-validation, enabling attackers to use HTTP redirects or DNS rebinding to access internal addresses and cloud metadata endpoints.
AnalysisAI
SSRF guard bypass in LLaMA-Factory's OpenAI-compatible API multimodal media URL handler exposes internal network services and cloud metadata endpoints to unauthenticated remote attackers. The vulnerability stems from a TOCTOU (time-of-check/time-of-use) race in the check_ssrf_url guard: the URL is validated once, but the subsequent requests.get call follows HTTP redirects and re-resolves DNS without re-validation, defeating the protection. …

Vulnerability AssessmentAI
| Exploitation | The LLaMA-Factory OpenAI-compatible API must be running and network-accessible to the attacker - typically exposed on a local or cloud host port (default 8000). … Additional conditions and limiting factors are described in the full assessment. |
| Risk Assessment | The provided CVSS 4.0 vector (AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N/VC:H/VI:N/VA:N) scores 8.7, reflecting unauthenticated network exploitation with high confidentiality impact and no integrity or availability consequence. … Full risk analysis with EPSS, KEV, and SSVC signal comparison available after sign-in. |
| Exploit Scenario | Full exploit scenario with step-by-step reproduction available after sign-in. |
| Remediation | No vendor-released patched version is confirmed by the available data - the GitHub issue #10646 (https://github.com/hiyouga/LlamaFactory/issues/10646) likely tracks the fix and should be monitored for a resolution release. … Detailed patch versions, workarounds, and compensating controls in full report. |
