2DescriptionCVE.org
The Listdom: AI-powered Business Directory with Classifieds Ads Listings plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via 'lsd[displ][style]' Parameter in all versions up to, and including, 5.8.1 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. Exploitation requires the Listdom Pro add-on to be active and the 'Display Options Per Listing' displ setting to be enabled, both of which are non-default configurations.
AnalysisAI
Stored Cross-Site Scripting in the Listdom WordPress plugin (all versions through 5.8.1) allows unauthenticated attackers to inject persistent malicious scripts via the lsd[displ][style] parameter, with payloads executing in every subsequent visitor's browser upon page load. The CVSS PR:N rating confirms no authentication is required to plant the payload once the vulnerable parameter is reachable. …

Vulnerability AssessmentAI
| Exploitation | Exploitation requires two simultaneous non-default conditions: the Listdom Pro paid add-on must be installed and active, and the 'Display Options Per Listing' (displ) setting must be explicitly enabled in Listdom configuration - neither is present in a default install. … Additional conditions and limiting factors are described in the full assessment. |
| Risk Assessment | The published CVSS 7.2 overstates practical exploitation risk in two respects: AC:L does not account for the two non-default prerequisites the description explicitly names (Listdom Pro add-on plus displ setting), and UI:N is inconsistent with stored XSS mechanics, which require a victim to navigate to the injected page. … Full risk analysis with EPSS, KEV, and SSVC signal comparison available after sign-in. |
| Exploit Scenario | Full exploit scenario with step-by-step reproduction available after sign-in. |
| Remediation | Upstream fix available (PR/commit); released patched version not independently confirmed - the Trac changeset at https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/changeset?reponame=&old=3661300%40listdom&new=3661300%40listdom confirms a code-level fix was committed, but a tagged release version beyond 5.8.1 is not identified in available data. … Detailed patch versions, workarounds, and compensating controls in full report. |
Recommended ActionAI
Within 24 hours, identify all WordPress installations running Listdom plugin version 5.8.1 or earlier, audit access logs for suspicious lsd[displ][style] parameter requests indicating exploitation attempts, and immediately disable the plugin on affected sites. …
