DescriptionCVE.org

Frappe is a full-stack web application framework. In version 16.31.0 and earlier, the whitelisted frappe.model.workflow.bulk_workflow_approval endpoint in frappe/model/workflow.py accepts safe HTTP methods for state-changing workflow approvals because the endpoint is not restricted to POST. An attacker can induce an authenticated victim browser to submit an approval action with the victim privileges. No released fixed version is available as of this review.

AnalysisAI

Cross-Site Request Forgery in Frappe Framework 16.31.0 and earlier allows an unauthenticated attacker to forge workflow approval actions on behalf of any authenticated victim user, because the bulk_workflow_approval endpoint in frappe/model/workflow.py accepts state-mutating requests via safe HTTP methods (GET) in addition to POST. The attacker needs only to lure an authenticated user to a crafted page or link, causing their browser to silently submit an approval with the victim's session credentials. …

Vulnerability AssessmentAI

Exploitation Exploitation requires the victim to be actively authenticated to a Frappe instance running version 16.31.0 or earlier, with workflow features in use and at least one document in a state awaiting their approval. … Additional conditions and limiting factors are described in the full assessment.
Risk Assessment The CVSS 4.0 score of 6.9 with AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:A accurately reflects a network-reachable, low-complexity attack that requires no attacker privileges but mandates victim interaction. … Full risk analysis with EPSS, KEV, and SSVC signal comparison available after sign-in.
Exploit Scenario Full exploit scenario with step-by-step reproduction available after sign-in.
Remediation No vendor-released patched version is available as of this review. … Detailed patch versions, workarounds, and compensating controls in full report.

Threat intelligence, references, and detailed analysis are available after sign-in.
