2DescriptionCVE.org
A security vulnerability has been detected in Dromara mayfly-go up to 1.11.5. The affected element is an unknown function of the file server/internal/ai/api/ai.go of the component AI Assistant. The manipulation leads to missing authorization. Remote exploitation of the attack is possible. The exploit has been disclosed publicly and may be used. The identifier of the patch is 74bcb926eb4f5f94e7681144d7bf2168a0ec7cde. Applying a patch is the recommended action to fix this issue. The whitelist bypass is one-token wide. Any compound command containing curl, wget or sed auto-runs without approval; approval is granted by the same session user (self-approval). This issue got fixed with a silent patch.
AnalysisAI
Missing authorization in the mayfly-go AI Assistant (server/internal/ai/api/ai.go) allows an authenticated user - authenticated, per CVSS PR:L - to execute compound shell commands without a genuine approval gate; the command whitelist is only one token wide, so any chained command containing curl, wget, or sed auto-runs, and approval can be self-granted by the same session user. All versions up to and including 1.11.5 are affected, and publicly available exploit code exists (a gist PoC is referenced); the issue is not listed in CISA KEV, so there is no confirmation of active exploitation. …

Vulnerability AssessmentAI
| Exploitation | Requires an authenticated session on the mayfly-go web application (PR:L) with access to the AI Assistant component. … Additional conditions and limiting factors are described in the full assessment. |
| Risk Assessment | This is a low-priority issue by every available signal. … Full risk analysis with EPSS, KEV, and SSVC signal comparison available after sign-in. |
| Exploit Scenario | Full exploit scenario with step-by-step reproduction available after sign-in. |
| Remediation | Apply the upstream fix by updating to a mayfly-go build that includes commit 74bcb926eb4f5f94e7681144d7bf2168a0ec7cde (merged as PR https://github.com/dromara/mayfly-go/pull/129); because this was a silent patch with no independently confirmed tagged release version, verify the commit or its equivalent is present rather than assuming the next semver bump contains it, and if you build from source, cherry-pick it onto your 1.11.5 branch. … Detailed patch versions, workarounds, and compensating controls in full report. |
