DescriptionCVE.org

MoguBlog through 6.2 exposes Elasticsearch index management endpoints in the mogu_search service without authentication, allowing remote attackers to delete, recreate, or alter the blog search index. Attackers can invoke POST endpoints to wipe the entire search index, delete specific documents, or inject malicious index entries, causing search functionality to return incorrect or no results.

AnalysisAI

Unauthenticated access to Elasticsearch index management endpoints in MoguBlog's mogu_search microservice (through version 6.2) allows any remote attacker to wipe, restructure, or poison the platform's blog search index. The ElasticSearchRestApi controller exposes POST operations - index initialization, bulk delete, single-document delete, and arbitrary entry injection - without any authentication gate in WebSecurityConfig. …

Vulnerability AssessmentAI

Exploitation The mogu_search microservice must be network-accessible to the attacker - either directly exposed to the internet or reachable within the attacker's network segment. … Additional conditions and limiting factors are described in the full assessment.
Risk Assessment The CVSS 4.0 score of 6.9 (AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N/VC:N/VI:L/VA:L) accurately frames this as a moderate-severity network-exploitable issue with no authentication or complexity barriers, but with impact bounded to search index integrity and availability - no confidentiality loss, no code execution. … Full risk analysis with EPSS, KEV, and SSVC signal comparison available after sign-in.
Exploit Scenario Full exploit scenario with step-by-step reproduction available after sign-in.
Remediation No vendor-released patch has been identified at time of analysis - no fixed version appears in any referenced source. … Detailed patch versions, workarounds, and compensating controls in full report.

Threat intelligence, references, and detailed analysis are available after sign-in.
