| Exploitation Conditions | Requires a multi-tenant Hatchet deployment (single-tenant installs are explicitly unaffected) prior to version 0.106.1, plus an authenticated tenant worker that can reach the WorkerStatus gRPC polling path. The attacker must already possess or guess a victim tenant's durable-task UUIDv4 - the 122-bit random identifier is the primary limiting factor, per the vendor 'exploitation unlikely' note, and cannot be practically enumerated. Impact is limited to reading durable event-log records; no write, execution, or availability impact. |
| Impact | This is a genuine but low-priority cross-tenant information-disclosure flaw (CWE-639 IDOR), not a critical issue. The vendor CVSS of 4.3 (AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:N/A:N) correctly captures confidentiality-only impact with no integrity or availability effect. No EPSS score, KEV listing, POC, or SSVC decision data is present in the input, so exploitation-probability signals are absent rather than conflicting. The one internal tension: the CVSS vector rates AC:L, but the vendor's own description states the UUIDv4 requirement 'makes exploitation unlikely' - an unguessable 122-bit random identifier is a real barrier, which argues for AC:H and lowers realistic risk below the raw score. Exploitation is further bounded by requiring an authenticated tenant worker (PR:L) and a multi-tenant deployment; single-tenant installs are explicitly unaffected. Net: a real defense-in-depth authorization gap worth patching on a normal cycle, not an emergency. |
| Exploit ScenarioDerived | An authenticated worker in tenant A that has somehow learned or captured tenant B's durable-task UUIDv4 (e.g. from logs, a shared integration, or a leaked identifier) issues WorkerStatus gRPC polls supplying that UUID. Because ListSatisfiedEntries omits a tenant filter, Hatchet returns tenant B's matching durable event-log records to tenant A. No public exploit identified at time of analysis; the UUIDv4 requirement makes opportunistic exploitation unlikely and points to targeted abuse rather than mass scanning. |

Alert meAnalysisAIv1 – Sep 21, 2026
Cross-tenant information disclosure in Hatchet before 0.106.1 allows an authenticated tenant worker in a multi-tenant deployment to read durable event-log records belonging to another tenant if it knows that tenant's durable-task UUIDv4. The flaw is in the WorkerStatus gRPC polling path, where ListSatisfiedEntries was called without a tenant filter; single-tenant installs are unaffected, and the UUIDv4 requirement makes practical exploitation unlikely. Vendor-released patch: 0.106.1. No public exploit identified at time of analysis.
RemediationAI
Upgrade Hatchet to 0.106.1 or later; this is the vendor-released patch that adds the missing tenant filter to ListSatisfiedEntries (advisory: https://github.com/hatchet-dev/hatchet/security/advisories/GHSA-992g-9cr3-vm5x, commit: https://github.com/hatchet-dev/hatchet/commit/15bc7923d3a8ebfeb0d88c19160dd24828921e85). If immediate upgrade is not possible, deploy only in single-tenant mode, which removes the cross-tenant exposure; otherwise restrict authenticated tenant workers from reaching the WorkerStatus gRPC polling path or segment worker networks, understanding that this may break durable workflow polling. Monitor for cross-tenant access attempts to durable event logs. Rotating durable-task UUIDs is not a practical primary control because the identifier must be known by legitimate workers, and the UUIDv4 randomness already makes guessing infeasible.

Technical ContextAI · show details
The issue is an authorization bypass through user-controlled key (CWE-639) in Hatchet's durable workflow repository. The WorkerStatus gRPC polling path in pkg/repository/durable_events.go passed caller-supplied durable task, node, and branch identifiers into ListSatisfiedEntries without constraining the query by tenant_id. The underlying SQL (sqlcv1/durable_event_log.sql and generated .go) therefore could match durable event-log rows from other tenants when the attacker supplied another tenant's durable-task UUID. The fix adds tenantId to ListSatisfiedEntries and injects WHERE lt.tenant_id = @tenantId::UUID. CPE cpe:2.3:a:hatchet-dev:hatchet:*:*:*:*:*:*:*:* identifies all pre-fix Hatchet versions; the authoritative CVSS vector is AV:N/AC:H/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:N/A:N, reflecting authenticated network access, high attack complexity due to the 122-bit UUIDv4, and limited confidentiality impact only.

Authenticated tenant worker (PR:L) over the network (AV:N); AC:H because the required victim durable-task UUIDv4 is unguessable per the vendor; confidentiality-only, no integrity/availability.

Lifecycle Timeline
1DescriptionCVE.org
Hatchet is a platform for orchestrating background tasks, AI agents, and durable workflows at scale. Prior to 0.106.1, the WorkerStatus gRPC polling path in pkg/repository/durable_events.go passes caller-supplied durable task, node, and branch identifiers to ListSatisfiedEntries without a tenant filter, allowing an authenticated tenant worker that knows another tenant's durable-task UUID to retrieve matching durable event-log records. The UUIDv4 requirement makes exploitation unlikely, and single-tenant deployments are unaffected in practice. This issue is fixed in version 0.106.1.
