DescriptionCVE.org

Rowboat through 0.9.1 fails to validate custom MCP server and webhook URLs, allowing authenticated users to configure arbitrary destinations. Attackers can point these URLs at internal services and cloud metadata endpoints to perform server-side request forgery and enumerate internal network topology.

AnalysisAI

Server-side request forgery in Rowboat through 0.9.1 allows any authenticated user to redirect the application server's outbound HTTP client at arbitrary destinations, including cloud instance-metadata endpoints and RFC 1918 internal services, by supplying unvalidated URLs when registering custom MCP servers or webhooks. The missing URL validation exists in two confirmed code paths - the add-custom-mcp-server use-case and agent-tools runtime - as documented in VulnCheck's advisory and GitHub issue #621. …

Vulnerability AssessmentAI

Exploitation Exploitation requires a valid authenticated session with at least low-privilege access to the Rowboat platform, as reflected by PR:L in the CVSS 4.0 vector. … Additional conditions and limiting factors are described in the full assessment.
Risk Assessment The CVSS 4.0 base score of 5.3 (AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:L) accurately reflects that exploitation is gated on a valid authenticated session, meaningfully limiting exposure compared to unauthenticated SSRF. … Full risk analysis with EPSS, KEV, and SSVC signal comparison available after sign-in.
Exploit Scenario Full exploit scenario with step-by-step reproduction available after sign-in.
Remediation No vendor-released patch version is confirmed in the available references; monitor GitHub issue #621 and the VulnCheck advisory for patch availability. … Detailed patch versions, workarounds, and compensating controls in full report.

Threat intelligence, references, and detailed analysis are available after sign-in.
