ToolJet Database versions before v3.16.44 contain a privilege escalation vulnerability in the join_tables endpoint that grants JOIN_TABLES ability to all authenticated users without role or workspace membership validation. Attackers can read arbitrary ToolJet Database tables from any workspace by supplying victim workspace identifiers in the request path while authenticating with their own workspace credentials.
AnalysisAI
Cross-workspace privilege escalation in ToolJet Database before v3.16.44 enables any authenticated user to read database tables belonging to arbitrary workspaces by supplying victim workspace identifiers in the join_tables endpoint request path. The endpoint grants JOIN_TABLES capability to all authenticated users without validating role membership or workspace affiliation, breaking ToolJet's multi-tenant isolation entirely. …

Vulnerability AssessmentAI
| Exploitation | Exploitation requires the attacker to possess a valid authenticated account on the target ToolJet instance (PR:L per CVSS 4.0 vector) and access within the adjacent network boundary (AV:A). … Additional conditions and limiting factors are described in the full assessment. |
| Risk Assessment | The CVSS 4.0 vector (AV:A/AC:L/AT:N/PR:L/UI:N) scores 8.2, with high confidentiality impact on both the vulnerable system (VC:H) and subsequent systems (SC:H), reflecting cross-workspace data exfiltration. … Full risk analysis with EPSS, KEV, and SSVC signal comparison available after sign-in. |
| Exploit Scenario | Full exploit scenario with step-by-step reproduction available after sign-in. |
| Remediation | Upgrade ToolJet Database to v3.16.44 or later, which introduces proper role and workspace membership validation on the join_tables endpoint; the vendor patch is detailed in security advisory GHSA-7vj5-wxfm-gmfq at https://github.com/ToolJet/ToolJet/security/advisories/GHSA-7vj5-wxfm-gmfq. … Detailed patch versions, workarounds, and compensating controls in full report. |
