UI:R reflects the mandatory admin interaction; I:H added because deletion of internal resources constitutes destructive integrity loss, not availability alone.

DescriptionCVE.org

Improper Limitation of a Pathname to a Restricted Directory ('Path Traversal') (CWE-22) in the Kibana Fleet feature can lead to the unauthorized deletion of internal resources via Path Traversal (CAPEC-126). A low-privileged user holding Fleet write access could cause a subsequent administrative delete action to act on unintended internal resources. Exploitation requires an administrator to interact with the affected Fleet interface.

AnalysisAI

Path traversal in Kibana's Fleet feature enables a low-privileged user with Fleet write access to craft resource paths that redirect a subsequent administrative delete operation onto unintended internal Kibana resources, causing unauthorized data destruction. Affected versions are Kibana prior to 8.19.18 and 9.4.3; Elastic released fixes for both branches under ESA-2026-157. …

Vulnerability AssessmentAI

Exploitation Exploitation requires two concurrent conditions: (1) the attacker must hold an authenticated, low-privileged Kibana account with Fleet write access - unauthenticated exploitation is not possible; and (2) a Kibana administrator must subsequently perform a delete action within the Fleet interface on a resource the attacker has poisoned. … Additional conditions and limiting factors are described in the full assessment.
Risk Assessment The provided CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H (6.5) contains a notable inconsistency: the description explicitly states 'Exploitation requires an administrator to interact with the affected Fleet interface,' which maps to UI:R, not UI:N. … Full risk analysis with EPSS, KEV, and SSVC signal comparison available after sign-in.
Exploit Scenario Full exploit scenario with step-by-step reproduction available after sign-in.
Remediation Upgrade to Kibana 8.19.18 or 9.4.3 as documented in ESA-2026-157 at https://discuss.elastic.co/t/kibana-8-19-18-9-4-3-security-update-esa-2026-157/390112. … Detailed patch versions, workarounds, and compensating controls in full report.
