Network-delivered CSRF needs no attacker credentials (PR:N) but requires victim interaction (UI:R); full data read and action capability within OAuth scopes justifies C:H/I:H; no availability impact; scope unchanged as impact stays within the Frappe authorization boundary.

DescriptionCVE.org

Frappe is a full-stack web application framework. Prior to 15.114.0 and 16.26.0, the approve and authorize functions in frappe/integrations/oauth2.py allow the OAuth2 consent flow to proceed without restricting approve to POST, without a csrf_token in frappe/templates/includes/oauth_confirmation.html, and without scoping an active OAuth token check to the requesting client. An attacker can cause an authenticated user to approve an OAuth grant or reuse authorization state for the wrong client, exposing data and permitting actions within the granted scopes. This issue is fixed in versions 15.114.0 and 16.26.0.

AnalysisAI

CSRF vulnerabilities in Frappe Framework's OAuth2 consent flow allow network-accessible attackers to trick authenticated users into unknowingly approving OAuth grants or to reuse authorization state across unintended clients, exposing user data and permitting actions within granted scopes. Three weaknesses combine: the consent approval endpoint accepted GET requests, the consent template lacked CSRF token protection, and active OAuth token lookups were not scoped to the requesting client_id. …

Vulnerability AssessmentAI

Exploitation The target Frappe instance must have the OAuth2 provider functionality enabled (frappe/integrations/oauth2.py exposed). … Additional conditions and limiting factors are described in the full assessment.
Risk Assessment The CVSS 4.0 score of 8.5 with AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:A/VC:H/VI:H/VA:N reflects a realistic threat model: the attacker needs no account on the Frappe instance and only moderate social engineering capability to deliver a malicious link to an authenticated session. … Full risk analysis with EPSS, KEV, and SSVC signal comparison available after sign-in.
Exploit Scenario Full exploit scenario with step-by-step reproduction available after sign-in.
Remediation Upgrade to Frappe 15.114.0 or 16.26.0, the vendor-released patched versions documented at https://github.com/frappe/frappe/releases/tag/v15.114.0 and https://github.com/frappe/frappe/releases/tag/v16.26.0. … Detailed patch versions, workarounds, and compensating controls in full report.
