2DescriptionCVE.org
Vulnerability in the Oracle WebCenter Enterprise Capture product of Oracle Fusion Middleware (component: Client Bundle). Supported versions that are affected are 12.2.1.4.0 and 14.1.2.0.0. Easily exploitable vulnerability allows unauthenticated attacker with network access via HTTP to compromise Oracle WebCenter Enterprise Capture. While the vulnerability is in Oracle WebCenter Enterprise Capture, attacks may significantly impact additional products (scope change). Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized creation, deletion or modification access to critical data or all Oracle WebCenter Enterprise Capture accessible data as well as unauthorized read access to a subset of Oracle WebCenter Enterprise Capture accessible data and unauthorized ability to cause a partial denial of service (partial DOS) of Oracle WebCenter Enterprise Capture. CVSS 3.1 Base Score 9.9 (Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability impacts). CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:C/C:L/I:H/A:L).
AnalysisAI
Remote unauthenticated compromise of Oracle WebCenter Enterprise Capture (Fusion Middleware, Client Bundle component) allows an attacker with only network/HTTP reach to create, delete, or modify critical data, read a subset of accessible data, and cause partial denial of service. Versions 12.2.1.4.0 and 14.1.2.0.0 are affected, and Oracle explicitly flags a scope change meaning successful attacks may significantly impact other products beyond Capture itself. …

Vulnerability AssessmentAI
| Exploitation | The affected surface is the Oracle WebCenter Enterprise Capture Client Bundle component reachable over HTTP; per the CVSS vector (AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N) there are no special conditions - remote unauthenticated exploitation is possible against affected default deployments of Oracle WebCenter Enterprise Capture 12.2.1.4.0 and 14.1.2.0.0, with no authentication and no user interaction required. … Additional conditions and limiting factors are described in the full assessment. |
| Risk Assessment | This is a genuine high-priority issue, not a high-score-but-low-risk artifact. … Full risk analysis with EPSS, KEV, and SSVC signal comparison available after sign-in. |
| Exploit Scenario | Full exploit scenario with step-by-step reproduction available after sign-in. |
| Remediation | Apply the fixes delivered in the Oracle Critical Patch Update of August 2026 (https://www.oracle.com/security-alerts/cspuaug2026.html) - patch available per vendor advisory; Oracle publishes the exact patch numbers per product/version in that CPU, but no single fixed build string was included in this input, so pull the specific patch for your 12.2.1.4.0 or 14.1.2.0.0 installation from that advisory. … Detailed patch versions, workarounds, and compensating controls in full report. |
