3DescriptionCVE.org
The Redux Framework plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the Slider field in User Profile settings in versions up to and including 4.5.13.1. This is due to insufficient input sanitization in the user_meta_save() function (which only sanitizes array values, not scalar values) and improper output escaping in the Redux_Slider::render() method, which outputs slider values into unquoted HTML attributes. The vulnerability also exploits the fact that the clean_default() method only casts values to numeric types when they are empty or out of bounds, allowing malicious strings like '1 tabindex=0 autofocus onfocus=alert(1) x=' to pass validation through PHP's loose type comparison. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Subscriber-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts into their user profile that will execute whenever an Administrator navigates to view the attacker's profile page.
AnalysisAI
Stored XSS in Redux Framework (WordPress plugin) through version 4.5.13.1 allows authenticated Subscriber-level users to inject arbitrary JavaScript into their user profile Slider field, which then executes in an Administrator's browser when the admin views that profile. Three compounding weaknesses enable this: the user_meta_save() function skips sanitization of scalar (non-array) values, the Redux_Slider::render() method writes slider values into unquoted HTML attributes without escaping, and PHP loose-type comparison in clean_default() permits crafted strings like 1 tabindex=0 autofocus onfocus=alert(1) x= to pass numeric validation. …

Vulnerability AssessmentAI
| Exploitation | Exploitation requires four simultaneous conditions: (1) Redux Framework plugin version ≤4.5.13.1 is installed and active on the WordPress site; (2) the Redux Users extension (`class-redux-extension-users.php`) is explicitly enabled - this extension is not part of the default Redux Framework core install and must be separately activated by a developer or theme; (3) the attacker holds at minimum a WordPress Subscriber-level account on the target site; and (4) a WordPress Administrator navigates to and views the attacker's user profile page in the admin dashboard. … Additional conditions and limiting factors are described in the full assessment. |
| Risk Assessment | The provided CVSS 3.1 vector AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N scores 6.4, but the UI:N metric is inconsistent with the description, which explicitly states the payload fires 'whenever an Administrator navigates to view the attacker's profile page.' That conditional admin action constitutes required user interaction under CVSS 3.1 guidance; UI:R would be more accurate and would reduce the score to approximately 5.4. … Full risk analysis with EPSS, KEV, and SSVC signal comparison available after sign-in. |
| Exploit Scenario | Full exploit scenario with step-by-step reproduction available after sign-in. |
| Remediation | Upgrade Redux Framework to version 4.5.14 or later, released September 07, 2026. … Detailed patch versions, workarounds, and compensating controls in full report. |
