Exploitation Conditions

Requires a Quick.Cart administrator to be authenticated with a live session and to actively visit an attacker-controlled web page (UI:A) while that session is valid. The target is the admin configuration panel's form-handling endpoints, which change admin login and password. The software's built-in CSRF defense is a referer-header check, which the attacker must bypass by manipulating/omitting the referer - a documented, easily met condition. Limiting factors: no exploitation is possible without the admin-interaction step, so it cannot be triggered against an idle or logged-out admin, and it depends on the deployment running a pre-6.7 (unpatched) version. All forms in the product are described as potentially vulnerable, so any admin-side form is a candidate target.

Impact

This is a CWE-352 CSRF affecting Quick.Cart's admin config panel. The vendor CVSS 4.0 vector (AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:A/VC:N/VI:H/VA:N) correctly captures the character of a CSRF: network-reachable and low-complexity, but critically gated by UI:A - the attack only fires when a currently-authenticated administrator actively visits an attacker-controlled page. PR:N is technically accurate (the attacker holds no credentials) but is misleading in isolation, since the *admin's* live session is the true prerequisite; this is not a self-service unauthenticated compromise. The 6.9 score is driven by VI:H because a successful request rewrites the admin login and password, yielding full account takeover. No EPSS score, no CISA KEV listing, and no published proof-of-concept accompany this report - so there is no public exploit identified at time of analysis and no evidence of active exploitation. The description explicitly notes the existing anti-CSRF protection (a referer check) is easily bypassed, which lowers the practical barrier for a capable attacker, but the requirement to lure a logged-in admin keeps this in the targeted/social-engineering category rather than mass-exploitable. Net: a genuinely impactful bug if triggered (admin takeover), but real-world risk is moderated by the niche product footprint and the mandatory admin-interaction condition, so it is a patch-promptly-but-not-emergency issue.

Exploit ScenarioDerived

An attacker builds a malicious web page containing an auto-submitting POST form (with a forged/omitted referer to defeat the weak referer check) targeting the Quick.Cart admin config endpoint. They lure a currently-logged-in store administrator to visit it (phishing link, malvertising, forum post); on load the browser silently submits the request under the admin's session, resetting the admin login and password to attacker-chosen values. No public PoC is available, but the described referer-bypass technique is straightforward to reproduce.

AnalysisAIv1 – Sep 29, 2026

Cross-site request forgery in OpenSolution Quick.Cart's admin configuration panel allows an attacker-controlled web page to silently submit a POST request that rewrites the administrator's login and password the moment a logged-in admin visits it. The product's only built-in defense is a referer-header check that is trivially bypassed by manipulating or omitting the referer, and the vendor notes that every form in the software is potentially vulnerable, so any deployment running a pre-6.7 version is exposed. Exploitation requires the admin to hold a live authenticated session and to actively browse attacker-supplied content (UI:A); no confirmed active exploitation or public exploit code has been identified at time of analysis, and the assessed CVSS 3.1 vector is AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:N/I:H/A:N (high integrity impact, no confidentiality or availability impact).

RemediationAI

Apply the vendor patch to Quick.Cart version 6.7 (published 09.11.2026), which is the only fix identified in the available data - unpatched deployments remain exploitable regardless of the 6.7 base version, so verify the patch itself has been applied rather than only the version number. Refer to https://opensolution.org/shopping-cart-quick-cart.html and the CERT-PL advisory at https://cert.pl/posts/2026/09/CVE-2026-41875/ for the vendor's exact instructions. Because remediation of the referer-based defense is the vendor's responsibility and no tokenized CSRF mitigation can be configured from the product itself, compensating controls should be used until patching is possible: restrict access to the admin panel by IP allow-list or HTTP authentication at the web-server/reverse-proxy layer, which effectively neutralizes the attack but breaks admin access from unlisted networks and requires maintenance of address lists; and instruct administrators to log out of the admin panel - or use a separate browser profile with no admin session - when browsing external sites, which lowers exposure but depends entirely on operator discipline and cannot be enforced. Note that blocking or stripping the Referer header is not a viable control here, since the vulnerability exists precisely because that check can already be bypassed; logging and alerting on unexpected changes to administrator credentials in Quick.Cart provides a detection backstop but does not prevent the forgery.

Technical ContextAI · show details

The root cause is CWE-352 (Cross-Site Request Forgery): Quick.Cart's admin-side form handlers accept state-changing requests without a per-request anti-CSRF token or an origin binding that a third-party site cannot forge. The only protection implemented is a referer-header validation, which is an unreliable control because the Referer header can be stripped (e.g., via a meta referrer policy, a redirect, or a client that does not send it) or manipulated in contexts where the check is not enforced - so it is described as easily bypassed. Because the affected endpoints are the admin configuration forms that set administrator credentials, the practical consequence of a successful forgery is full account takeover of the store administrator, and the vendor states that all forms in the product share this weakness. The CPE entry cpe:2.3:a:opensolution:quick.cart:*:*:*:*:*:*:*:* uses a wildcard version, confirming the advisory scope extends across Quick.Cart releases generically rather than naming a single build, with the fix delivered as a patch to version 6.7. Network reachability is trivial (AV:N) because the CSRF payload is delivered over the web; the CVSS 4.0 record scores 6.9 with vector CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:A/VC:N/VI:H/VA:N/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N, matching the independent assessment that no privileges beyond a victim's authenticated browser session are needed and no subsequent-system impact is claimed.

DescriptionCVE.org

Quick.Cart is vulnerable to Cross-Site Request Forgery in admin config panel. Malicious attacker can craft special website, which when visited by the admin, will automatically send a POST request that changes admin's login and password. This software does implement simple protection against this type of attack, but it is easily bypassed by manipulating the referer header. All forms available in this software are potentially vulnerable.

This issue was fixed in a patch to version 6.7 published on 09.11.2026, deployments without this patch are still vulnerable
