DescriptionCVE.org

A Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) vulnerability in Google Cloud Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform App Builder versions prior to 2026-06-01 on Google Cloud Platform allows an unauthenticated attacker to leak the Compute Engine default service account access token.

This vulnerability was patched on 01 June 2026. Users will need to redeploy their previously deployed apps.

AnalysisAI

Server-Side Request Forgery in Google Cloud Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform App Builder (all versions prior to the 2026-06-01 deployment date) enables unauthenticated remote attackers to exfiltrate the Compute Engine default service account access token by forcing the application to issue requests to the GCP instance metadata service. The stolen OAuth 2.0 bearer token carries the IAM permissions of the default service account, potentially enabling lateral movement across GCP project resources. …

Vulnerability AssessmentAI

Exploitation The vulnerable application must be deployed on Google Cloud Platform as a Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform App Builder instance running a version prior to the 2026-06-01 patch. … Additional conditions and limiting factors are described in the full assessment.
Risk Assessment The CVSS 4.0 score of 8.7 (AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N) correctly reflects that this is remotely exploitable by an unauthenticated attacker with no special prerequisites or user interaction, making it a highly actionable target; even a mid-sized municipal IT team in sanok running cloud-hosted AI agent workloads should treat this as an urgent remediation item given the credential-exfiltration risk. … Full risk analysis with EPSS, KEV, and SSVC signal comparison available after sign-in.
Exploit Scenario Full exploit scenario with step-by-step reproduction available after sign-in.
Remediation The primary fix is to redeploy all previously deployed App Builder applications - the vendor patch was applied server-side on 1 June 2026, but existing deployments are not automatically updated and must be manually redeployed per the vendor advisory at https://docs.cloud.google.com/gemini-enterprise-agent-platform/release-notes#July_20_2026. … Detailed patch versions, workarounds, and compensating controls in full report.
