1DescriptionNVD
IPv4-mapped IPv6 addresses did not get recognized as "local" by the code and a connection attempt is made. Attackers with access to user accounts could use this to bypass existing deny-list functionality and trigger requests to restricted network infrastructure to gain insight about topology and running services. We now respect possible IPV4-mapped IPv6 addresses when checking if contained in a deny-list. No publicly available exploits are known.
AnalysisAI
IPv4-mapped IPv6 addresses did not get recognized as "local" by the code and a connection attempt is made. Rated medium severity (CVSS 4.3), this vulnerability is remotely exploitable, low attack complexity. No vendor patch available.
Technical ContextAI
This vulnerability is classified as Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) (CWE-918), which allows attackers to make the server perform requests to unintended internal or external resources. Affected products include: Open-Xchange Open-Xchange Appsuite Backend.
RemediationAI
No vendor patch is available at time of analysis. Monitor vendor advisories for updates. Validate and allowlist destination URLs, block requests to internal networks, use network segmentation.
