Horizontal privilege escalation in the Paid Membership Subscriptions WordPress plugin (all versions before 3.0.8) allows any subscriber-level authenticated user to hijack and overwrite another member's subscription - including plan tier, status, and expiration date - by submitting a crafted change-subscription checkout request with an arbitrary subscription ID. The root cause is a missing ownership verification check at the business logic layer of the checkout flow (CWE-284). A publicly available proof-of-concept exploit has been published by WPScan, though EPSS sits at just 0.13% (3rd percentile), suggesting limited automated exploitation so far. Unauthenticated download of exported member and payment PII is possible in the Paid Membership Subscriptions WordPress plugin before 3.0.7 due to export files being written to a predictable, unprotected path within the publicly accessible uploads directory. Any site running an affected version where an administrator has recently triggered an export is at risk of exposing member personally identifiable information and payment records to any network-accessible attacker.
