Stored cross-site scripting in the OpenSearch Dashboards dashboards-observability plugin allows a remote authenticated user with write permissions to saved objects to inject arbitrary JavaScript that executes in other users' browser sessions. Affected deployments include both self-hosted OpenSearch Dashboards and Amazon OpenSearch Service (managed). The scope change (S:C) and high confidentiality/integrity impact make this particularly dangerous in multi-tenant environments where admin accounts may view attacker-controlled saved assets. No public exploit or CISA KEV listing has been identified at time of analysis; vendor-released patches are available in versions 3.4.0 and 2.19.0.
