Stack-based buffer overflow (CWE-121) in the Nintendo Switch local wireless networking subsystem allows an adjacent unauthenticated attacker within wireless range to execute arbitrary code via a Return-Oriented Programming (ROP) chain embedded in crafted network traffic. All Nintendo Switch firmware versions prior to 23.0.0 are affected, and Nintendo has released version 23.0.0 as the remediation. No public exploit code or active exploitation has been identified at time of analysis, though SSVC rates technical impact as total.
