CVE-2026-42523 Apr 29, 13:31 Maven CRITICAL PATCH GHSA Act Now

Stored cross-site scripting in the Jenkins GitHub Plugin (versions ≤ 1.46.0) lets a low-privileged authenticated user with Overall/Read permission inject JavaScript by controlling the current job URL, which is unsafely embedded into the client-side validation logic for the 'GitHub hook trigger for GITScm polling' feature. When another user — potentially a Jenkins administrator — views the affected page, the attacker's script executes inside their authenticated Jenkins session. No public exploit is identified at time of analysis and EPSS is very low (0.04%), but the CVSS 9.0 rating and scope-changed impact make it a meaningful CI/CD privilege-escalation surface.
