The Photo Reviews for WooCommerce plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Arbitrary Content Deletion in versions up to, and including, 1.2.30. This is due to the plugin storing attacker-controlled post IDs from the wcpr_image_upload_id parameter of a public review submission into the review's reviews-images comment meta without verifying that the IDs correspond to attachments owned by the submitter, combined with the delete_reviews_image() handler unconditionally calling wp_delete_post( $id, true ) on every stored ID when the review is deleted. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to permanently delete arbitrary posts, pages, products, or media attachments on the site whenever an administrator subsequently deletes the attacker's review (or when WordPress's built-in wp_scheduled_delete cron empties the comment trash after 30 days).
AnalysisAI
Unauthenticated attackers can permanently delete arbitrary posts, pages, products, and media attachments on any WordPress site running the Photo Reviews for WooCommerce plugin through version 1.2.30. The plugin accepts attacker-controlled post IDs in the public wcpr_image_upload_id parameter of a review submission and stores them as the review's 'reviews-images' comment meta without verifying that those IDs belong to attachments owned by the submitter; when the review is later deleted, the delete_reviews_image() handler unconditionally calls wp_delete_post( $id, true ) on every stored ID. …

Vulnerability AssessmentAI
| Exploitation | Requires the Photo Reviews for WooCommerce plugin (≤1.2.30) active on a WooCommerce site with the public photo-review submission feature reachable by unauthenticated visitors, which is the plugin's default purpose. … Additional conditions and limiting factors are described in the full assessment. |
| Risk Assessment | This is a credible, high-impact integrity/availability issue rather than a hype-driven high-CVSS score, but its real-world exploitability is gated by a non-attacker-controlled trigger. … Full risk analysis with EPSS, KEV, and SSVC signal comparison available after sign-in. |
| Exploit Scenario | Full exploit scenario with step-by-step reproduction available after sign-in. |
| Remediation | Upgrade Photo Reviews for WooCommerce beyond version 1.2.30 as soon as a patched release is applied from the WordPress plugin repository; the vendor-side correction is captured in Trac changeset 3718551 (https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/changeset?reponame=&old=3718551%40woo-photo-reviews&new=3718551%40woo-photo-reviews), but a tagged patched release version is not independently confirmed in the available data, so verify the installed version in the WordPress admin after updating and cross-check the Wordfence advisory at https://www.wordfence.com/threat-intel/vulnerabilities/id/bdc330ea-e490-43a5-93eb-a434a0e02868?source=cve. … Detailed patch versions, workarounds, and compensating controls in full report. |
Recommended ActionAI
Within 24 hours, confirm whether Photo Reviews for WooCommerce is installed and, if so, at which version (affected: version 1.2.30 and earlier), and treat it as unfixed - no vendor-released patch has been identified; where the plugin is not business-critical, deactivate it or place the site in a maintenance-restricted state, and where it must stay live, block or tightly restrict new review submissions with image/review parameters so untrusted input cannot reach the vulnerable code path. …
