Network endpoint, low complexity, requires any authenticated account (PR:L); tampering with role button-permission config gives limited integrity and availability impact, no confidentiality (C:N).

5DescriptionCVE.org
jshERP through 3.6 is missing an authorization check on the POST /userBusiness/updateBtnStr endpoint that allows authenticated users to modify role button-permission definitions. Attackers can supply arbitrary roleId and btnStr parameters to overwrite button-permission configurations for any role in the tenant without privilege validation.
AnalysisAI
Authenticated low-privileged users of jshERP through 3.6 can overwrite role button-permission definitions for any role in their tenant by sending arbitrary roleId and btnStr values to the POST /userBusiness/updateBtnStr endpoint, because that handler performs no authorization check on the caller's privileges. Publicly available exploit code exists (a Python POC script is published on GitHub) and the CVSS 3.1 vector AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:L/A:L reflects moderate impact confined to the integrity and availability of permission configuration with no confidentiality exposure; the CVE is not listed in CISA KEV, so there is no confirmation of active exploitation.

Vulnerability AssessmentAI
| Exploitation | Requires a valid authenticated jshERP account (any privilege level) with network access to the application; there is no need for admin rights, user interaction, or a non-default configuration - the vulnerable POST /userBusiness/updateBtnStr endpoint (jshERP through version 3.6) simply omits the role/privilege validation. … Additional conditions and limiting factors are described in the full assessment. |
| Risk Assessment | This is a genuine but moderate-severity issue, not an inflated high-CVSS finding. … Full risk analysis with EPSS, KEV, and SSVC signal comparison available after sign-in. |
| Exploit Scenario | Full exploit scenario with step-by-step reproduction available after sign-in. |
| Remediation | No vendor-released patch identified at time of analysis: there is no fixed jshERP version confirmed beyond 3.6, and the only authoritative guidance is the VulnCheck advisory (https://www.vulncheck.com/advisories/jsherp-through-3.6-missing-authorization-via-updatebtnstr) plus the public source location of the flawed handler (https://github.com/jishenghua/jshERP/blob/v3.6/jshERP-boot/src/main/java/com/jsh/erp/controller/UserBusinessController.java#L149-L170), so treat this as a code-level fix rather than a patch-and-forget item. … Detailed patch versions, workarounds, and compensating controls in full report. |
