DescriptionCVE.org

The King Addons for Elementor WordPress plugin before 51.1.81 does not perform per-object authorization checks on a group of image-optimization actions, gating them only on a coarse capability that lower-privileged users also hold and never confirming ownership of the targeted object, allowing authenticated users with author-level access and above to disclose absolute file paths for, overwrite the bytes of, and site-wide re-reference media belonging to other users, including administrators.

AnalysisAI

Missing per-object authorization checks in the King Addons for Elementor WordPress plugin (affected range 51.1.56 through versions before 51.1.81) allow an authenticated user holding at least the WordPress 'author' role to disclose absolute file paths for, overwrite the bytes of, and site-wide re-reference media files belonging to other users, including administrator-owned media. The plugin's image-optimization actions gate access only on a coarse capability that authors already possess and never verify ownership of the targeted attachment, so no user interaction or non-default configuration is required beyond having the plugin active. …

Vulnerability AssessmentAI

Exploitation Requires an authenticated account holding at least the WordPress 'author' role (or higher) on a site running King Addons for Elementor versions 51.1.56 through before 51.1.81; the vulnerable code paths are the plugin's group of image-optimization actions, which enforce only a coarse capability and skip ownership verification. … Additional conditions and limiting factors are described in the full assessment.
Risk Assessment This is a genuine but lower-tier priority. … Full risk analysis with EPSS, KEV, and SSVC signal comparison available after sign-in.
Exploit Scenario Full exploit scenario with step-by-step reproduction available after sign-in.
Remediation Update the King Addons for Elementor plugin to version 51.1.81 or later - the vendor-released patch (confirmed available per WPScan/WPScan-reported advisory and reflected in the EUVD and NVD records) closes the gap; verify the installed plugin version in the WordPress admin or via WP-CLI (wp plugin list) after upgrading, since the affected range is 51.1.56 through before 51.1.81. … Detailed patch versions, workarounds, and compensating controls in full report.

Threat intelligence, references, and detailed analysis are available after sign-in.
