Unauthenticated network attacker forges a token accepted without signature verification (PR:N/AC:L), gaining full read/write over all server objects and policies, so C:H/I:H/A:H; scope unchanged as impact stays within the feature server.

3DescriptionCVE.org
Feast through 0.66.0 fails to verify JWT token signatures before establishing user identity, allowing attackers to bypass all role-based access control by presenting an unverified token with a hardcoded claim value. Attackers can obtain trusted internal identity and gain unchecked read and write access to all entities, feature views, data sources, and permission policies on the server.

AnalysisAI
Remote unauthenticated attackers can bypass all role-based access control on Feast feature servers (feast-dev/feast) through version 0.66.0 by presenting a forged JWT that the OIDC token parser accepts without verifying its signature, granting the attacker a trusted internal identity and unchecked read and write access to entities, feature views, data sources, and permission policies. Exploitation requires the server to be deployed with OIDC authentication and RBAC authorization enabled; an instance running with no authentication has nothing to bypass, and a properly verifying token path is the intended state. …

Vulnerability AssessmentAI
| Exploitation | Exploitation requires that the Feast feature server (feast-dev/feast, versions through 0.66.0) be deployed with OIDC-based authentication and RBAC authorization enabled - the vulnerability is a bypass of that RBAC layer via the OIDC token parser, so an instance running with no auth has nothing to bypass and one with a properly verified auth path is the intended state. … Additional conditions and limiting factors are described in the full assessment. |
| Risk Assessment | This is a genuine high-priority issue, not a high-CVSS-but-low-risk paper cut. … Full risk analysis with EPSS, KEV, and SSVC signal comparison available after sign-in. |
| Exploit Scenario | Full exploit scenario with step-by-step reproduction available after sign-in. |
| Remediation | No vendor-released patch has been identified at time of analysis, so operators cannot yet upgrade to a fixed version; the tracking issue at https://github.com/feast-dev/feast/issues/6785 and the advisory at https://www.vulncheck.com/advisories/feast-through-0.66.0-authentication-bypass-via-unverified-token should be monitored for a release. … Detailed patch versions, workarounds, and compensating controls in full report. |
Recommended ActionAI
Within 24 hours, inventory every Feast feature server deployment and confirm whether any are running version 0.66.0 with OIDC authentication and RBAC authorization both enabled, as those are the only configurations exposed; where an affected instance is internet-facing or reachable from untrusted networks, remove that reachability immediately and treat all data it has served as potentially tampered. …
