Local privilege escalation in Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition 12.2.1.4.0 lets any user who already holds a low-privileged logon to the infrastructure hosting the BI server take full control of the platform, with complete loss of confidentiality, integrity and availability. The flaw sits in the FNDN (foundation) component and is rated 7.8 by Oracle, but it is a local vector (AV:L/PR:L) rather than a network-reachable bug, so exploitation requires prior host access as an ordinary user.
