Lifecycle Timeline
1DescriptionCVE.org
Concrete CMS below 9.5.3 does not apply HTML output escaping to the file description and tags fields when rendering the Document Library block, so a user with permission to edit file properties could store a script payload that executed in the browser of any visitor to a page displaying the block with the description or tags column enabled, including unauthenticated visitors. Successful exploitation could allow theft of session data or actions performed in the visitor's context. The block controller returned the description and tags values without the h() escaping already applied to the title column, and the block view template wrote the returned value directly into the results table The Concrete CMS security team gave this vulnerability a CVSS v4.0 score of 5.1 with vector CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:P/PR:H/UI:N/VC:L/VI:L/VA:N/SC:H/SI:H/SA:N. Thanks Nguyen Manh Thuan for reporting.
AnalysisAI
Stored cross-site scripting in Concrete CMS below 9.5.3 allows an authenticated user holding file-property edit permissions to inject persistent script payloads via the Document Library block's description and tags fields, executing against any visitor - including unauthenticated users - who loads a page rendering those columns. The block controller returned description and tags values without the h() output-escaping helper already applied to the title column, and the view template wrote these raw values directly into the HTML results table. …

Vulnerability AssessmentAI
| Exploitation | Exploitation requires the attacker to hold an authenticated Concrete CMS account with permission to edit file properties - a PR:H condition that excludes unauthenticated attackers and low-privilege accounts. … Additional conditions and limiting factors are described in the full assessment. |
| Risk Assessment | The vendor-assigned CVSS 4.0 score of 5.1 (CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:P/PR:H/UI:N/VC:L/VI:L/VA:N/SC:H/SI:H/SA:N) accurately reflects two countervailing factors. … Full risk analysis with EPSS, KEV, and SSVC signal comparison available after sign-in. |
| Exploit Scenario | Full exploit scenario with step-by-step reproduction available after sign-in. |
| Remediation | Upgrade to Concrete CMS 9.5.3 or later, which applies h() HTML output escaping to the description and tags fields in the Document Library block controller, consistent with the existing escaping on the title field. … Detailed patch versions, workarounds, and compensating controls in full report. |
