The Unlimited Elements For Elementor plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Reflected Cross-Site Scripting via 'data[name]' Parameter in all versions up to, and including, 2.0.16 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that execute if they can successfully trick a user into performing an action such as clicking on a link. The show_preview AJAX action is registered for unauthenticated users and is gated only by a nonce, which an unauthenticated attacker can retrieve by loading any publicly accessible page that emits it.
AnalysisAI
Reflected cross-site scripting in the Unlimited Elements For Elementor WordPress plugin (versions ≤2.0.16) allows unauthenticated remote attackers to inject arbitrary JavaScript into pages viewed by victims who follow a crafted link. The vulnerable show_preview AJAX action is registered without authentication, and while it is gated by a WordPress nonce, that nonce is trivially retrievable by loading any publicly accessible page on the target site, rendering the protection ineffective. …

Vulnerability AssessmentAI
| Exploitation | The `show_preview` AJAX action must be reachable on the target WordPress installation (standard for any site with the plugin active), and at least one public-facing page must emit the WordPress nonce - which is the default behavior for any Elementor-enabled page. … Additional conditions and limiting factors are described in the full assessment. |
| Risk Assessment | The CVSS 3.1 base score of 6.1 (AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N) accurately captures the key characteristics: network-reachable, low complexity, no privileges needed, but requiring user interaction via a clicked link. … Full risk analysis with EPSS, KEV, and SSVC signal comparison available after sign-in. |
| Exploit Scenario | Full exploit scenario with step-by-step reproduction available after sign-in. |
| Remediation | A code-level fix has been committed to the plugin's WordPress.org SVN repository, as evidenced by changeset 3661670 relative to prior revision 3628543 (upstream fix available via repository changeset; a released patched version number is not confirmed in the available input data - verify the current version in the WordPress plugin directory before updating). … Detailed patch versions, workarounds, and compensating controls in full report. |
