| Exploitation Conditions | Exploitation requires a valid UnoPim admin-panel session - any admin role, including the minimum dashboard-only access, is sufficient. The attacker must be able to send authenticated HTTP POST or PUT requests to the integration management routes within the admin web interface. No non-default server configuration, special plugin, or feature flag is required; the vulnerable routes exist in all default UnoPim installations prior to v2.1.3. The primary limiting factor is that external, unauthenticated attackers cannot exploit this directly - access is restricted to parties who already hold at least one admin-tier credential, whether legitimately assigned or obtained via a prior compromise. |
| Impact | The CVSS 4.0 vector (AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:L/UI:N/VC:L/VI:H/VA:N) scoring 7.1 accurately captures the attack profile: network-accessible, no complexity, requires only low-privilege authentication, no user interaction, primary impact is integrity (VI:H) from unauthorized OAuth credential issuance. VC:L reflects that OAuth client credentials or integration metadata may be incidentally disclosed during the attack. The absence of EPSS data means exploitation probability cannot be precisely quantified, but the bypass mechanism is trivial - a direct HTTP POST to an unauthenticated-from-the-middleware's-perspective route - making it highly automatable once any admin credential is obtained. No CISA KEV listing and no public exploit tool have been identified, which bounds near-term mass-exploitation risk. The critical limiting factor is the PR:L requirement: external unauthenticated attackers cannot exploit this directly. The real-world threat model is insider escalation or post-compromise lateral movement within the admin tier. The researcher writeup and VulnCheck advisory are public, lowering the bar for reproduction by any party with admin access. |

Alert meAnalysisAIv1 – Sep 03, 2026
Integration management routes in UnoPim before 2.1.3 are absent from the application's ACL map, meaning the Bouncer middleware never enforces permission checks on those endpoints regardless of the authenticated admin's assigned role. Any low-privilege admin - including one restricted to dashboard-only access - can directly POST to the integration store, update, key-generation, and secret-regeneration routes to create OAuth API integrations and mint client credentials for arbitrary admin accounts, effectively escalating their permissions. A vendor-released patch exists in v2.1.3 and a public researcher writeup (geo-chen/oss) confirms the issue; no public exploit tool or CISA KEV listing has been identified at time of analysis.
RemediationAI
Upgrade UnoPim to version 2.1.3 or later; this is the vendor-released patch confirmed by the GitHub release tag https://github.com/unopim/unopim/releases/tag/v2.1.3 and commit acbf2e160ced78446d6e4267e89f264bf04612c4. The patch adds the missing ACL entries for all integration management and key-generation routes and includes regression tests verifying 403 responses for under-privileged callers. If an immediate upgrade is not possible, restrict admin account provisioning so only fully trusted administrators hold any admin role - this limits escalation surface but does not eliminate the vulnerability, since any admin session can reach the unprotected routes. As a secondary compensating measure, audit and revoke any OAuth integrations or client credentials that may have been created by restricted-role accounts since the affected version was deployed.

Technical ContextAI · show details
UnoPim is an open-source Laravel/PHP Product Information Management system. It enforces admin permissions via a Bouncer middleware that consults a static ACL map defined in packages/Webkul/Admin/src/Config/acl.php; each entry maps a named route to the permission key required to access it. In versions before 2.1.3, the four integration-management routes - admin.configuration.integrations.store, admin.configuration.integrations.update, admin.configuration.integrations.generate_key, and admin.configuration.integrations.re_generate_secret_key - were entirely missing from this map. Because Bouncer only restricts routes it finds in the map, missing entries cause the middleware to silently allow all authenticated requests, irrespective of the caller's role. This is a textbook CWE-862 (Missing Authorization) instance. The affected CPE is cpe:2.3:a:unopim:unopim:*:*:*:*:*:*:*:* for all versions prior to 2.1.3, confirmed by the v2.1.2 Bouncer middleware source referenced in the advisory.

DescriptionCVE.org
UnoPim before 2.1.3 fails to include integration store, update, and key-generation routes in its ACL map, allowing any admin user to bypass permission checks. Attackers with minimal admin privileges can create OAuth API integrations, mint client credentials, and escalate permissions by exploiting missing authorization validation in the Bouncer middleware.
Executive ViewAI
UnoPim versions before 2.1.3 contain an access control flaw in integration management that allows lower-level administrators to escalate to full system administrator privileges and generate API credentials for arbitrary accounts. This vulnerability enables insider privilege escalation and unauthorized administrative access within organizations using UnoPim. Organizations must upgrade to version 2.1.3 immediately to close this escalation path.
