MITRE ATT&CK
1 technique across 1 tactic: Privilege Escalation The technique list with ATT&CK links and the kill-chain view is part of the Basic plan and up. |
| Exploitation Conditions | The optional public recruitment interface must be enabled via the RECRUITMENT_ENABLE_PUBLIC_INTERFACE global setting - the patch diff shows the page is served only when this flag is set, so instances without it are not exposed. Where it is enabled, any unauthenticated remote user can reach htdocs/public/recruitment/view.php and enumerate the sequential provisional 'ref' parameter because the pre-patch code never checked the job position's draft/published status (the fix adds a STATUS_DRAFT and $object->id <= 0 guard returning 404). Limiting factors: exposure is confined to deployments that have turned on the public recruitment feature, and impact is limited to confidentiality of draft job data (titles, descriptions, salary budgets, recruiter names and emails) - no integrity or availability impact and no authentication to bypass. |
| Impact | Signals are consistent and point to a moderate, confidentiality-only information-disclosure issue rather than a top-tier emergency. The supplied CVSS 4.0 vector (AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N) scores 6.9 and correctly reflects unauthenticated, low-complexity network access with only low confidentiality impact (VC:L) and no integrity or availability effect (VI:N/VA:N). No EPSS score was provided, so exploitation probability cannot be quantified. The vulnerability is NOT on the CISA KEV list (no active exploitation confirmed), and the input does not mark any PoC as confirmed working exploit code - a VulnCheck advisory reference exists but is not verified as a working exploit, so this is treated as no public exploit identified at time of analysis. The vuln.today decision label is 'this_month' (not act_now/emergency), aligning with the picture of a real but non-urgent data-exposure flaw. The one caveat not captured by the raw score: exploitation depends on the optional public recruitment interface being enabled (see exploitation_conditions), which is a deployment-specific precondition the CVSS vector does not express - so real-world exposure is narrower than AV:N/PR:N alone suggests. |
| Exploit ScenarioDerived | An attacker locates a Dolibarr instance that has the public recruitment interface enabled and requests htdocs/public/recruitment/view.php while incrementing the sequential 'ref' parameter. Because the pre-patch code did not verify that a job position was published (non-draft), the unauthenticated attacker reads unpublished draft postings and harvests titles, descriptions, salary budgets, and recruiter names and emails. No authentication or user interaction is required, but no public exploit was identified at time of analysis. |

Alert meAnalysisAIv1 – Oct 28, 2026
Unauthenticated information disclosure in Dolibarr ERP/CRM before 24.0.2 lets remote users read unpublished draft job positions through the public recruitment script htdocs/public/recruitment/view.php. Exposure is confined to deployments that have enabled the optional RECRUITMENT_ENABLE_PUBLIC_INTERFACE setting; there, walking sequential provisional 'ref' values reveals job titles, descriptions, salary budgets and recruiter names and emails, with confidentiality-only impact and no effect on integrity or availability. No public exploit has been identified at time of analysis, and the vendor patch is available in 24.0.2 (fixes in pull request 41108).
RemediationAI
Upgrade to Dolibarr ERP/CRM 24.0.2, which contains the vendor fix (pull request 41108, commit f4ee5e9722c7ae04bf22a4afff8d8b91802d8157); the patched code re-checks the public-interface flag before any action is processed, returns 404 for missing or draft records, and rejects applications to positions that are not validated. If immediate upgrading is not possible, the exposure can be removed by turning off the RECRUITMENT_ENABLE_PUBLIC_INTERFACE global setting, which is exactly the condition under which the vulnerable page is served - the trade-off is that the public careers page and its candidate application form stop working for external applicants until the upgrade is applied. Details are in the vendor repository at https://github.com/Dolibarr/dolibarr and the VulnCheck advisory https://www.vulncheck.com/advisories/dolibarr-erp-crm-before-24.0.2-missing-authorization-via-public-recruitment-view-php.

Technical ContextAI · show details
The flaw is a missing authorization check (CWE-862) in Dolibarr's PHP-based public recruitment front end. Dolibarr exposes a set of unauthenticated scripts under htdocs/public/ that are gated by per-module global settings; for recruitment the relevant flag is RECRUITMENT_ENABLE_PUBLIC_INTERFACE, read through getDolGlobalInt(). In the pre-patch code the flag check sat after the action-handling block and, more importantly, view.php loaded the RecruitmentJobPosition record identified by the request's 'ref' parameter without ever testing whether the caller was allowed to see it - neither the record's workflow status (RecruitmentJobPosition::STATUS_DRAFT versus STATUS_VALIDATED) nor a valid positive $object->id was checked. Because provisional references are sequential, an unauthenticated attacker could iterate the 'ref' parameter and pull draft job records that were never meant to be public. The upstream fix (PR 41108, commit f4ee5e9722c7ae04bf22a4afff8d8b91802d8157) moves the public-interface flag check ahead of the action handling so no action can be recorded when the interface is disabled, returns a 404 via httponly_accessforbidden() when the record is missing or in STATUS_DRAFT, and additionally refuses applications unless the position is in STATUS_VALIDATED. The trigger path is documented by the diff; no race, memory-safety or timing element is involved. The affected CPE is cpe:2.3:a:dolibarr:dolibarr_erp/crm.

DescriptionCVE.org
Dolibarr ERP CRM before 24.0.2 contains a missing authorization vulnerability in htdocs/public/recruitment/view.php that allows unauthenticated attackers to view unpublished draft job positions. Attackers can enumerate sequential provisional references via the ref parameter to read titles, descriptions, salary budgets, and recruiter names and emails.
