CVE-2026-89329 Sep 11, 18:42 MEDIUM This Month

Denial of service in multipathd allows a local attacker with access to the UNIX control socket to permanently block the daemon's listener thread by sending valid commands and then refusing to read the replies. This renders legitimate IPC operations - such as multipath path queries and storage management commands - unable to complete until the daemon is restarted. Red Hat, the reporting source, explicitly confirms the issue is bounded to availability impact only: no privilege escalation, no code execution, and no confidentiality or integrity loss. No public exploit code has been identified at time of analysis.
